Here's your yearly reminder NOT to purchase bat taxidermy products.

Because of their size, bats are notoriously difficult to find deceased from natural causes, and by the time they are found, the bodies have often already decomposed beyond value.

As sad as it is, it's true — As holidays approach, I know many people with an interest in these critters have the potential to receive gifts that are very unethical for the creatures they care about. Bats are killed for the sole purpose of displays like this as a soulless cash grab. Already, there are dozens of bat species that are threatened or endangered. It is not fair to them to support an industry that is actively trying to extinguish their life for decoration.

the scene where they ran after the Vigilante after discovering their "secret"? Tears??? At 4AM??? More likely than you think!!

so yeah this piece is based on that scene, yes I took very long, yes I forgot to post it, kiss kisss muah

I didn't realize the two hands would be attached to the two brothers THAT'S SO GALAXY BRAIN I'M GOING INSANE. The way Sun's hand looks like it's putting the mask back on the Vocalist?? And Moon's hand supporting the 'Handler' side of the face??? CIPHER THAT'S SO SMART, LEAVE SOME SYNAPSES FOR THE REST OF US

I just?? Can't get over the face. They look so SO pretty and I can see how the Attendants fell for them, mask or no mask. The spotlight shining different colours on the edges (blue for the background, warm for the purple dress/mask area) gives it such a subtle rainbow quality??? I'm so beyond stunned, I can't stop lookingggg

Here’s a bit of trivia: Did you know that when I first made Laurence back in mid-February of 2023, he had an alternative 2d form to his regular one ?!?!?! Yeah its pretty rad

I thought that since that design was horribly outdated and very old, I might as well make it a bit better and more suitable for Laurence’s current and more deranged self C:

Some fun facts about the lad (2D Laurence):

- His overall design remains relatively consistent, but his color palette shifts with every appearance! (Excluding the explosion shape’s first… ring…? Layer…? Either way, it’s always pink to match with the hair of his 3D counterpart ^_^)

- The only design changes are located in his trench coat/“clothes”, whether it’s a different tie or different accessories (like pins) or small designs on the lapels of his trench coat

- 2D Laurence is supposed to look similar to my Timekeeper design (which I still need to make proper art of oug)… “for what reason?” you may ask, and to that I say…! [STARTS RUNNING IN THE OPPOSITE DIRECTION]
