A little aside, but Sage with Vanilla Hermit Cookie is even funnier because he's BAD at lying lol-

So everybody knows, and he doesn't act much different beyond making sure Vanilla is okay and cradled, but if ANYONE tries to confront Sage directly about it he gets all awkward and spluttering like "W-what?!? PSHHHH no, no way! Where would you get such a silly idea! That's definitely NOT Recluse, not at all-!"

Soooo i was wondering how would you characterize Zombie-Ant Fungus and Confetti Clown???? (I feel very egocentric asking this😁🔫)

mmm that's a tough call since i don't know their personalities completely. but, throwing shots into the dark,,,, (i'm not sure on pronouns so i'll use they/them for zombie ant rn and he/him for confetti clown since that's been sorta talked about)

zombie-ant is very much like a haunted doll to me. childish, manipulative, and super uncanny valley, what with the choco-ants(?) crawling from their mouth and the odd way they stare at other people. some people might even worry they see zombie-ant talk without moving their lips, ventriloquism confusing the more anxiety prone cookies they interact with. blueberry sees it as a valuable skill and wonderful talent. maybe zombie-ant even pulls a bit of a dinna beneviento from resident evil village; not speaking to people directly but instead through puppets, with blueberry and confetti being the only ones they feel comfortable talking around normally.

confetti clown is a little harder to place in my brain. apart from his crush on blueberry (which could either be extremely obvious or more like a secret he's trying to keep, potential for other character interactions), i think he's insecure, presumptuous, and a bit scatter brained (like confetti being let loose). he probably really admires blueberry on the stage, but doesn't feel he could compare, shooting down his own shot of being on par before he even tried. perhaps his crush even stems from blueberry reaching out to confetti clown directly, admiration surprise and joy mixing together into infatuation and blooming further into attraction as they work together. he might start to think he knows blueberry best, making choices for blueberry without actually informing him, only for it to blow up quite comically in the clown's face. it all leads back to slapstick shenanigans that get resolved in the end. or do they?

these two working together could be a couple of things. they could be like two henchmen in a show or movie, trying to play up their roles but really just getting a laugh from the audience. they could be a true force to be reckoned with, mixing anxiety with laughter to create some intense mental disconnect or deterioration to defeat their opponents. whatever their motivations are for attaching to blueberry, it's certainly going to concern vanilla even further about the future.

again, this is just my view from a standpoint where i don't have all the details, so don't worry about taking all this to heart!!
