Happy pride, everyone! Remember to blame even the slightest inconvenience on the homophones this month, itâs your god-given right đłïžâđ
the way i know this wasn't intentional is op didn't finish with "god-given rite"
These two giant turtles have been fighting each other for more than 120 years.
According to the zoo, one turtle stole the otherâs food 120 years ago, and since that day they became enemies.
There hasnât been a single day where they donât fight for 2â3 minutesđ
Happy Pride!
Every pride, you must reblog this. No exceptions
there is nothing I love more than people who work with animals doing videos where one of them pretends to be the worst traits of every animal they have to deal with
âWhen I was a kid, the Phonics Wizard came to our town to show off how the letter E can change the sounds of vowels. He turned a can into a cane, a pin into a pine. This one kid had a cap and he changed it into a cape, that kind of thing.
âAnd we loved it, we were all having a great time, but then he saw my sister and I, and he just got this - this look in his eyes, and then-â
She hesitated, fingers worrying the course material between her fingers. âThings got pretty bad after that,â she muttered. âI know itâs silly, but I try to keep - her - comfortable. We donât know if she can still hear us, or see us, or if sheâs even still in here, but I like to think she is. I talk to her when I can, I leave music on when Iâm out of the house. I tried to convince my parents to bring her with us when we went to Disneyland, but they didnât - didnât really take that well.â
After a moment, she put the ball of twine back onto its pillow. âAnyways. They tried to arrest the Phonics Wizard, but he had a plan in case something went wrong and he turned it into a plane and flew away. Last time anyone heard from him was when he turned Pete Crow-Armstrong into a box.â

Health classes really ought to teach people what the beginning stages of addiction are like because a lot of people donât realize theyâre addicted to something until theyâre years deep into it.
Signs you might be getting addicted to something:
If you go without it you feel unwell in a way that you never usually feel unwell. Sweating, tired, sleepy, headaches, irritable, depressed, etc. For example when I was in opium withdrawal I got incredibly depressed in a way that Iâve never been before or since. When you quit caffeine you might get super bad headaches even if you never usually get any headaches.
Thoughts of it regularly bother you and the thoughts go away once youâve taken it but only temporarily. Unlike with a food craving which usually stays away once youâve satisfied it or distracted yourself from it.
You find yourself rationalizing with yourself why you should break your own rules about how much you can take and how often. For example you might only let yourself drink alcohol every four days but start thinking that three days is actually close enough to four days, right? Especially if this happens regularly.
Youâre using it so often that you feel the need to lie about how much you use because other people might think itâs concerning
If the substance or activity is nearby itâs genuinely difficult to not consume it or participate in it in a way thatâs really frustrating.
You feel bad when youâre not on it and your brain tells you âif you just take the thing you wouldnât feel this wayâ
You can only feel âwholeâ or ânormalâ when youâre on a substance even though itâs a recreational drug
And if you read this and think you might be addicted to something, donât panic and donât feel ashamed. Realizing youâre addicted to something isnât a failure. Itâs more information about your health that you can use to manage your condition, whether you want to get rid of your addiction or not.
If you see this on your dashboard, reblog this, NO MATTER WHAT and all your dreams and wishes will come true.
wikipedia no longer being anywhere near the top of search results when looking up anything feels eviscerating
#they really said âyou canât use wiki as an academic source-use our garbage AI thatâs even less reliableâ#and you canât even opt out of it
no but you can FORCE it away. use ublock origin and copy paste the blacklist i made into the filters to be able to remove the bullshit AI overview that google forces. it also removes youtube's forced ads (at least until they fix it)
you can also use the ublacklist extension and use this blacklist of AI image generation websites to curate your google image results
there are ALWAYS ways around stuff. it's just a matter of looking into it and asking around

Iran is slowly coming back online, but by "online," I mean they've moved from whitelisting some websites to blacklisting everything. I had no idea what these terms meant, but living in Iran forces you to know about technical network and connection stuff. Basically, instead of banning everything except for a few shitty malware apps posing as "social media platforms", they have now moved to filter out and ban the same usual things as before (like Telegram, Instagram, YouTube, everything). So what does that mean? It means more IPs will be available to bypass the ban, and VPNs will be more affordable. So more people can access the internet, STILL ILLEGALLY and THROUGH A PAYWALL.
It's currently close to 4 AM now that I'm posting this, and I've been crying non-stop since midnight because my friends came back online one by one through an unstable connection and said: "Hi, I'm alive." I had prepared myself for the funeral of so many of my friends. Some haven't come back online yet, and we've formed small "search and rescue" groups to find their contacts or families to check if they're okay.
What remains a fact amidst all of this is that nobody in the world ever gave a single fuck about us. I was one of the lucky ones to connect during the complete shutdown via some newly invented way we were too scared to even publish on GitHub for fear of getting arrested. In the time I was connected, I felt immense guilt for having access to the internet, and I begged you all on my socials to be the voice of the people who were about to get executed.
Not even once did I see someone talk about the internet blackout in Iran, and it enrages me.
We've been massacred, mass executed, and then silenced by getting our only way of communicating with the world shut off and the world treats it as some background noise, some irrelevant news that isn't even worth spending time hearing about.
So I'm asking you again, please, be the voice for the people in Iran. We are barely surviving.
Sometimes I really want to take everyone under the age of 24 (as of 2026) by the shoulders and say:
"I'm really sorry that lockdown and the ongoing pandemic interrupted pivotal educational and social/emotional development moments for you. You have an uphill battle towards adjusting to a lot of community based efforts because you experienced a mass trauma during an incredibly important time in your life where you should have physically been around your peers learning to engage in shared community. There is no "but" here, I'm genuinely really sorry. Something many of us consider key points in our interpersonal growth as youths was taken from you, not without reason but without care for its impact on you. I hope you know we are eternally allies in our struggles and if that is something you struggle to know I hope you can learn it someday."
Because so many of the angriest, most disenfranchised people I see on this website are under 24 and I often try to put younger people's behavior in the context of where they might have been 2020. I've seen the impact on my siblings and their peers+friends first hand, all ages 18-24. We've talked about how its impacted them, the isolation, the attachment to the internet, the anxieties and phobias and fears it developed in them due to the pandemic, the political unrest, and the responses to both that we've seen since. I know they're not the only ones and I know how much being marginalized also influences that impact too.
It's terrifying. I know it must be terrifying for a lot of the young people on Tumblr too. I hope one day we're able to bridge all of those complex feelings into something collective and positive so we can do our best to prevent similar traumas from happening to future generations.
