Man Is The Monster, 2015 | By Edwina Carr
For the white people who can't understand why people are mad at whites even though the people living didn't enslave us, think of it this way: if your great grandpa robbed a bank, I'm not mad at you. But if you're living off of the money he stole and expecting me to get to your level, then I'm frustrated/ angry. Get it?
.
OOOOOOOOOOOOO CHILD!!!!!! THE TEAAAAA
THIS IS THE THING
You have these white dweebs that are living off of stolen fucking money that have the AUDACITY to say, ‘Well, maybe if you worked HARDER, you would have what i have.’ That’s the rub. That’s the fucking rub.
There are literally families that are part of the 1% purely because of the fact that they owned slaves while the descendants of those slaves struggle to survive because of the way society systematically works against them still years later.
And not even money…living off of land they got FOR FREE through genocide and the Homestead Act which was implemented during the time Blacks weren’t even allowed to OWN anything—property included. So your grandpappy’s farm is stolen, just like everything else your family’s legacy is built on.
And then factor in that it didn’t stop with slavery, but black code laws that would imprison black folks if they got to “uppity” with other white folks….yes that was a law, look it up. Which created the bases for our prison industrial complex, factor in share cropping, factor in the restricting of resources to black folks for generations, from housing, to medical care, employment, to education…all of these necessary institutions needed for upward mobility, with added persecution from our own government, giving us basic minimum rights was like pulling teeth. Now think about how recent laws that gave us those basic rights were put in place, and then think about how long it took for the white folks in authority to actually practice those laws fair and just, and basically started letting niggas actually exist without lynching them every fucking 5 seconds.
Now finally think about all the issues that could stem from an entire race of people being socially, and systematically being denied basic necessities that a human being needs to function. And how much of a complex and complicated mess of problems that were created that ranges across psychological, sociological, individual, emotional, cultural, from micro-and macroaggressions, that fits within a larger narrative that is mainstream white america.
Do you really think all of that could be fixed, or these wrongs could easily be righted in 20 or 40 years? That a single generation which is like your parents, and or grandparents age, that all of that could just be fixed when the world has been fucked up longer than it has been sane.

“I felt like a feminist, but I felt completely dissed by other feminists, ‘cause they were like, ‘Well, you can’t dress sexy.’ Number one, I’m not dressing sexy - even though I did have my pants open from time to time. But what do you mean? You’re saying women can’t have sex? You don’t tell me that girls don’t get horny and don’t wanna fuck! You know why girls ‘can’t play guitar’ and ‘can’t play rock n roll’? Because rock n roll is sex. That’s what I grew up with, and that’s what I wanted to make. So meeting people like Kathleen [Hanna] and Allison [Wolfe] and all those girls, it was really incredible, because I felt like maybe people were starting to get it.”

You’re not punk if you’re a transphobic misogynistic racist twat yes I make the rules
There was once a guest speaker that came into my health class, he told a story about a mom in the 90s. He started off to say that if you do not like the feedback you are receiving, change the message. He said that the mom went to a bar, and that she had a few drinks and was...
Has mankind outgrown Earth?
A new report from the World Wildlife Fund says we’re gobbling up the planet’s resources at such an alarming rate that by 2030, even a second Earth wouldn’t be enough to sustain us
Which resources are we depleting? Renewables like fish, water, timber, and food are being used up much faster than previously thought. According to experts, mankind’s “ecological footprint” is now over 50 percent higher than it was in 2008, meaning it takes 1.5 years for Earth to regenerate the natural resources we use up annually.
Why is our ecological footprint growing? The world’s population, which according to the U.N. surpassed 7 billion last October, is getting too big, and the average individual is using more than he or she needs. “The excessive demands that we are putting on the planet will inevitably lead to acute water shortages, a chronic food crisis, and rising prices for energy, metals, and minerals,” says Robert Walker at the Huffington Post.

Oh my fucking god. READ THAT SHIT OVER AND OVER (via forebidden)
Mike Brown, a teenaged black boy, was murdered half a year ago and despite world wide protests, despite several irrefutable evidences pointing to officer darren wilson as the perpetrator of this crime , his murderer walks free. This is the reality of the genocidal nature of white supremacy
What the fuck is up with Tumblr's astrology fascination?
Tumblr acts like its the place of progressivism, openness and free thinking. But there is no science behind astrology. In fact, it’s deliberately anti-science and is based absolutely NOTHING. you know what is fascinating? real science. so maybe we should appreciate astronomy, not the hilariously stupid past time of astrology that is geared for scientifically illiterate people.
much love, Jim.
