I know it's just a trope of the genre at this point but I love it when games like Bioshock/Fallout/Outer Worlds litter audio logs around very decrepit and enemy filled levels of someone going "we are about to mess with this very dangerous thing, and it is very frustrating to get working, but it will all go well" and then a few rooms later you find the guy who recorded it dead with another tape that's just them going "we fucked up bad" before being brutally murdered on tape

Apparently,anyone who's not fron U.S. has not been able to get ***yet*** the new copy of fence,FENCE breakthrough gamechanger. I feel like the fence Fandom has been abandoned,and it's not the fans' fault. This kind of problem,even if it is technical and not completely Pacat's fault,contributes to the fans' interest in the saga to dissappear. I get a feeling we won't see the end of the story we só much love if this disinterested behavior of Pacat towards the series continues. That is frustrating. As a fan,honestly...😮‍💨😮‍💨😮‍💨

So guys, the next issue of fence,Fence Challengers Sweet Sixteen, is about to come out in January 2025. So I'll just give my thoughts about what will probably happen,and some doubts too about the story in general.

As it was mentioned on the boom! Studios website,kings row's team is among the 16 that won the first phase,which means they have beaten MLC. But I keep wondering, since vol 7 will have 112 pages,next issue will have 48 pages,and I don't know if that's enough for them to show the defeat of MLC and the fighting against Lowther Hall. Now,about the fight against Lowther Hall,I'm sure Nicholas is going to beat Kyle's ass,and when that happens,everything will stop to see and understand what happened,and I mean it. Robert Coste's going to be shocked,among every other visitor and even other fencers competing. No one would ever believe a 'no-one' as Nicholas could defeat someone as Kyle,especially being a Coste. That will alarm and intensify comments about Nicholas,making him nervous with everybody talking about him, and I guess that's the part seiji is going to be on scene, to help him calm down. Seiji will be surprised to,but will keep to himself bc he trusts Nicholas and wants him to trust in himself too.

Well,obviously we won't see the end of the tournament on the next issue,because there is a lot to be developed (Without even joking I guess we will have the end of the states championship by 2026-2027,with this actual pace,unfortunately. If Pacat keeps writing) but I'm almost sure King's Row doesn't win, although everyone gets shocked by Nicholas' talent. By the end of the tournament,when every student gets back inside their bus,Robert's is going to talk to Nicholas,and give him a glimpse that if keep that pace,he'll reach unimaginable things. That will make his day and drag the attention of the other boys from the team,especially Ainden (he's very observative)

Since we're going to get the next fence issue only next year,I'm doing what I always do when it comes to waiting for more of this comic content:suffer. Jokes aside,I'm re-reading, and during my God knows which reread, I realized Robert won the gold Olympic medal at 21 years old! This is something I've always wanted to know and honestly and didn't know we had that information,especially right on the first page. He was really a protégé to win a medal at such a young age

Aparrently, the "new announcement" C.S Pacat been teasing us about since Sunday is just the new volume of FENCE,which we already knew about since April. Not gonna lie,I'm very disappointed. I love fence, and I feel like we don't get enough,you know? To me,It feels like she considers the series a sidequest or something that does not need time or care to prepare 😪. Anyways,I'm excited for the new volume,I'm just sad that It was "just" that.

Today, BOOM! Studios released a few pages of the new volume of fence. I would like to point out some things that I thought It would happen that end up being in the comic.

As I had mentioned before,we're really going to have more content. Since it's basically the main event of the story so far,it's very important to be perfectly and calmly portrait.This issue will have 48 pages,the double of what we're used to.

Also,Robert will be there,as I imagined, and well,of course Nicholas is going to get nervous seeing him so close,yet so far.

The truth about him is also close to the surface. We're were just presented to a scene where Nicholas is already willing to tell Seiji the truth about his father. It's also proof that they're getting closer and closer.if were not getting the news of someone knowing his secret in this issue,I'm almost sure it will surface on the next one

Now,about how everyone will know the truth,I don't know what to expect. That piece of paper Nicholas has put close to Robert's picture at the trophy room may give a glimpse of the truth,but to someone else. What if coach walks through the trophy room and notices that there is something different there?And she reads it and gets shocked,a night before the tourament.Or Aiden,since he's very observant?Anyway,I'm really curious and excited for what is about to come

[Things I think might happen in the new volume of FENCE, FENCE:challengers long shot]

Since we're heading to the State Championships,there is a lot to happen. Usually,every arc in FENCE contains two volumes, and even though I find it hard to change,I guess there is a possibility to the states Championships holds like,3-4 volumes,or even the usual two with more pages each(Its unlikely,but then again,there is two much to adress)

I guess Aiden,after Harvard and Rahul's "meeting," won't give a damn about the competition. That will upset Harvard,wich I believe will be the beginning of Harvard criticism towards Aiden and finally,the beginning of their love journey.

I get the feeling that we're gonna see Robert Cost at the event,he'll be watching Jesse and that's gonna create some pressure towards Nicholas,making him lose some matches (I believe some people will sense it and realize that might be something wrong and associate with Robert's presence)

I feel like we're getting close to the truth about Nicholas being the son of Robert coming out. It might not be in this volume,but I'm almost sure It'll show up on the next.

I guess we will see Nicholas' mom for the first time. I don't know if the championship will happen in Bridgeport,but if it does,I'm almost sure she will show up. And if she sees Robert,well.... you guys pretty much know what can happen

If Nicholas starts to lose some matches due to Robert's presence,I guess that might have some consequences on Seiji. They're getting close even more,so now I think Seiji is going to worry about Nicholas and realize that is something is wrong.

Seiji is going to beat Jesse,but that's not the main *event*,let's just put it in that way. Nicholas and Jesse will eventually fence together, and I know that,despite Jesse being the best,Nicholas is going to show some of his talent,and that might alert other fencers (and the folks present) that he's special.

I know the comic is from Nicholas POV so we don’t really talk about this much but Seiji is literally the main character of a romance novel at this point like my mans is just trying to fence and now he’s in a love triangle with two half brothers— that’s some Hallmark shit right there
