Space Apps Cleveland 2016 Wrap Up
Space Apps Cleveland 2016 was held at the NASA Glenn Research Center on April 22-24, 2016. It was a huge success for many reasons:
1. The location reached its goal of 150 registrations.
2. Seventeen projects were submitted from the Cleveland location.
3. For the first time, youths participated in the event.
4. Some new features of the event included having the NASA Glenn Band perform, presence at the event by NASA librarians, the NASA Gift shop was available for participants to buy items.Â
5. Makegear, a local manufacturer of 3D printers, provided four printers and two of their employees
6. A NASA history quiz by Anne Mills, NASA Glenn Historian
7. A talk from David L. Stringer, Director of the Plum Brook Management Office (Brigadier General, U.S. Air Force, Ret.)
8. Tours of the Graphics and Visualization Lab and SLOPE Lab.
A big thank you to the collaborators on the event: OHTec, Expedient, Cleveland Tech Consulting, and MakerGear.

A distinguished group of judges made the tough decisions.
