MARCO BEZZECCHI'S TATTOOS

— a collection of all of Bez's tattoos (that we know of) in chronological order (i hope??? i tried my best ok?) + their meanings, if i could find anything about it

RIGHT FOREARM

so the first tattoo he got was dedicated to his first podium (Japan, 2017), he got it tattooed around that time

he talks about it and its meaning in this video!!!

the second tattoo he got was dedicated to his first win (Argentina, 2018), he also got it tattooed around that time

thank you to whoever asked him if they could take close-ups of it in 2019 hahahah

AGAIN i have no idea when he got this one. we rarely see Bez shirtless but he definitely got it between 2020 and 2021. nothing to say about this one except yummmmmmmmm

ok so this... this is insane to me. this guy uses his right thigh as a fucking dump. maybe this is Edo's influence or idk but come on...

for those who don't know Rivoluzione Romantica is an organisation/brand (cult) founded by two guys who DJ together, and sell merch with these corny ahh love quotes. man idk. ask somebody who knows more about this, i'm not your man.

i think Bez and Edo met around the end of 2023 or beginning of 2024, but as you can see Bez wasted about zero time getting not one BUT TWO RR tattoos so maybe the dick IS that good...

brother i had no idea what that part of our bodies is called. i don't like it. BUT I LIKE BEZ'S TATTOO GRRRRAAHHH

and AGAIN i have no idea when he got this one. the right picture was posted on Bez's tiktok in October 2024.

this one we first saw in January 2026 when the Academy tested in Mandalika. it's dedicated to his sprint win and podium in Misano 2025, when he celebrated with a wooden leg. it's a reference to an italian comedy called "Tre uomini e una gamba." silly film, worth a watch

so this is it (up until May 2026)!!! i'd bet my money that he has some tattoos we have never seen before and might never see, but maybe it's better if those stay between Bez and Edo...

Learning.

I love university.

I like most of the classes, I enjoy learning and absorbing information. I like working on essays, presentations and short films.

I haven't felt this way in years.

It was always about surviving, sometimes from day to day and never about studying. It was always about barely passing, trying to fight my brain for some scrapes.

(It was probably years long burnout.)

At university it's different. I feel energised more often than not. I don't have to give my 100% to be good enough. My enthusiasm, the real unstoppable force, is making me a perfectionist and an overachiever again. (I made a presentation with 32 slides and I had fun doing it from start to end.) I'm enjoying what I'm learning.

But.

People tend to be mean when someone acts a bit differently than society's norm. It's human nature, after all.

To pick apart and ruin everything, even though most things don't need fixing.

‘Oh, you're already every teachers’ favourite.’ and ‘Next semester we're taping your mouth shut.’

Joking. (Is it joking? I could never tell the difference between these things, harmless kitchen knives and sharp cutting ones.)

If it's just for fun and everyone's laughing then it's fine, right? It doesn't matter that I feel blunt knives digging into my stomachs all the same.

I'm doing better than I did in all of my high school years. I'm not actively crumbling under the weight of everything. I don't spend all my time studying until my eyes and head and brain hurt.

I'm focused but not to the point of complete obsession. And I'm proud of that, I earned it. I’m learning.

And people around me find this unfair.

I'm learning.

It's all speculation at the end of the day, because Aprilia's not about to give away what it is they're actually doing here, but yeah basically it very well could be an aero sensor

Like Oxley and Bom said in their Jerez testing special, it could work to measure air flow, pressure and speed in a similar way to pitot tubes and aero rakes (there's this really cool video from F1 that explains the difference between those two and flow-vis paint)

As a little aside, Aprilia (ever the aero innovators) have been using pitot tubes for testing since 2021

And they also used aero rakes for testing in 2024, (so yes the F1 inspiration didn't appear out of nowhere this year with the pseudo F-duct)

Like Romano Albesiano (former Aprilia technical director, now working for Honda) said, it works to map the pressure and find out how the rider / bike disturb the flow. Then they compare that to the CFD (computational fluid dynamics) models that they use to develop the bikes (pictured below) to see how the actual data collected differs from the initial simulation and figure out whether they're going in the right direction or not.

GPOne believes the main focus now seems to be controlling the airflow behind the bike to better manage low-pressure zones aka slipstream / dirty air and turbulence

That's ONE theory as to what the device Aprilia used yesterday at Jeréz could be.

ANOTHER theory again coming from Bom, Oxley and their sources is that it's some kind of laser to calibrate ride-height devices

Like they said, lasers have been used before but usually mounted on the swingarm and not the tail. The purpose of these Ducati ones was to measure tyre deformation so idk

Alas, the device is a mystery... but in short we can probably possibly most likely say it's an aero measurement tool
