Ugh the takes I've seen about people who chose not to watch eurovision on this app is disastrous. You cannot deny Israel is rigging it, do you really think a crowd full of boos and protests is really screaming "enough votes to get second place twice in a row" were your ears closed when the points were announced? those boos could be heard from the TV. Rightfully so, because we're having to rely on artists to stop Israel from winning because who is willingly going to participate or host for Israel in this political climate. Besides, people are ignorant on the fact Israel try to send political, propaganda entries and run ad campaigns, they literally got told off by the EBU for doing both of that, but okay it's just conspiracies!!!!!

And if you think artists deserved to be harassed or have comments made about them by KAN then you're sick, evidently they do so every year. Israel puts this contest in danger.

Something is very wrong at Eurovision.

How can a country that garners nothing but loud boos and protest every time they’re on screen, whose point announcements were met with a chorus of deep angry shouting, and who is shown pure derision and scorn in most every Eurovision-centric space still be getting such high numbers?

Why is it that every year we don’t root for our favorites, we root for anyone but Israel and we sit not excited for a new winner but terrified that they’ll steal the competition?

How long can this continue?

Agreed, it's not up to the artists to "save the contest" because if they do win, it might not even be able to go on as i don't think countries will be willing to participate in Israel or host for them.

I mean, atleast Bangaranga is a good song, it's a deserved winner so that's all that matters.

Literally Eurovision intros this year

One of my fave parts of Jakob giving the 12 points to Finland is when he goes “TORILLE!!!” He was SO excited !! I didn’t realise at first he said it but after rewatching it it was so clear and it is a very Finnish thing to say!

“Torille” or “torilla tavataan” is something us Finns say when Finland has been mentioned somewhere or when Finland is being successful at anything really! It’s Finnish and it means “to the market square” or “meet you at the market square”. Whenever Finland wins something we have huge celebrations at the market square and even more specific at the market square in Helsinki (Kauppatori).
