Call for Submission
Open House and November 80/20 Print Sale
The Student Printmaking Association (SPA) is delighted to inform you that we are accepting submissions for two upcoming print sales: one to be held during Concordia’s Open House event, with over 4000 expected attendees, on Saturday, November 8; the other potentially after Remembrance day, from Wednesday, November 12 through Friday, November 14. Both events will be taking place right across the entrance to FOFA gallery in the hallway of EV.
Campus print sales have been an ongoing tradition where printmakers come together to showcase a variety of print-based artworks. Projects using lithography, intaglio, silkscreen, woodcut, digital printing, and letterpress along with mixed-media prints will be put on display and sold on two 72-inch long tables.
The Student Printmaking Association invites all present and past Concordia University students to showcase and sell their print works. 80% of all profits from SPA-organized print sales will go to the artist while the remaining 20% goes to SPA’s funding. This permits us to organize multiple events and projects that contribute to our communities.
Submissions are presently being accepted.
Please note that only present and recently graduated Concordia University students may apply.
Attached is a copy of a loan agreement for all works that you intend to submit. Complete it either by hand or digitally, using Word or equivalent software. If signed by hand, slip a copy along with your works in your submission envelope; otherwise, send us an email at [email protected].
Following the end of the sale on November 14, your work will be prepared and ready for pickup the following day.
Artwork that is: framed, measuring more than 32” x 32”, or does not fit into our drawer will NOT be accepted.
