The snow had started to settle onto the ground. It was an awful cold autumn, leading to snowfall way earlier than normal. This also brought the illness earlier than normal. Lucy Gray had gotten it first out of the covey although she mainly pushed past it and she felt better after a few days, many in the hob had similar symptoms and the coughing was nonstop.
The kids slowly began to get hit, Sky Jade and Maude Ivory were hit pretty quickly as they tried to comfort and help Lucy Gray and.... Got sick themselves. Both tried to perform but Sky Jade had fallen asleep in the back, cuddling into May as she got rocked to sleep by her and Maude Ivory was horribly sniffly and felt awfully nauseous and barely could get through a song before feeling like she was going to puke.
Marigold and CC were also feeling awful and had gotten it a few days Maude Ivory and Sky Jade had it. CC slept, all the time when he was sick. He woke up for a few hours, grumbled about his head aching and went back to bed. Marigold was quiet, didn't speak much at all. She complained about her throat hurting as she stayed awake, mainly drawing and fiddling with the guitar when she could.
Magic Maroon was found out to be sick a few days later as her temperature was through the roof and she had her mattress outside to have the breeze cool her off (also she could see her foxes) and it was slightly more peaceful. She could also read quietly- her fever wasn't dropping too much which wasn't... Great.
Dolly Rose was the last one, she had so much pride in her health until she got sent home, awfully embarrassed. It took Barb Azure coaxing for awhile to have Dolly Rose explain, she had vomited in *class* in front of the other girls!- NO ONE WILL EVER FORGET IT! HER SOCIAL LIFE WAS RUINED! The girl had basically been curled up in her bed, dying of embarrassment. She quietly did school work most of the time.
Lucy Gray's symptoms had started to... subside, at least a little.
She wasn't as bad as the rest of the Covey, but the constant coughing had left her throat hoarse and her head spinning sometimes.
Still, there was a house to run, and Lucy Gray was doing her best to take care of the others.
Her main concern was Magic Maroon, who's fever haven't broken yet, which was... worrying, to say the least.
Lucy Gray sat close to Magic Maroon, placing a wet rag on her head. "Hey there, MM. Feelin' any better?"
