They used my respected name right off the bat. Called me Riley all the way through. Used he/him pronouns. Didn’t slip up once. Asked me and “What’s your legal name? I’m sorry I have to ask that.”

Then asked me “Now is it okay if I send things with Riley Roswell to your home?” not wanting to out me accidentally and then “Is it okay if I send stuff with planned parenthood labels on them or do you want me to be discreet about it?” knowing there are people who could get in trouble with family or partners or others for going there.

i understand this much: there is a war going on. i know what blog it is centered around, i know what is happening all too well. i am staying out of this war, i do not want to get involved. but if you have such a strong opinion that you are making posts about them and you are sending them anonymous death threats, stop it. message them privately if you are so inclined. but keep it between you two, because some of us don’t want to get involved in this. some people who didn’t even know this was happening are now confused about what’s happening and have been pulled in. here’s my solution: instead of messaging hate, just don’t support the blog. if you disagree with what they’re posting, block them. but stop spewing hate. there’s an obvious solution for those who don’t want to get their content anymore, y’all just keep the war going. they’re already inactive because of this, so you won. good. now calm the hell down and stop fighting. as i said, they have already received anon death threats and people telling them to kill themselves, everybody calm down and back off. that is my take. anon message me if you want, it can’t get to me. repost with hate, it can’t get to me. comet out.

I’M GONNA RANT FOR A SECOND SO BARE WITH ME

I understand people being upset about the lack of content about the Ugandans…I agree, people should be drawing them more. But there’s no reason to purposefully target and send hate towards people who make content for the background elders.

I found the blog @ask-the-background-elders today, and I love it! It’s great! But the person who runs it gets hate for…adding personality to background characters? Why are you guys so mad about that? Like, just because they’re not drawing one of the five most popular elders or the Ugandans…they’re racist? What? That literally makes no sense. Please don’t call people racist/bigoted/etc. just for drawing characters who happen to be Caucasian. It’s not cool and makes the fandom more toxic than drawing the background elders does :/
