By now, Whirl didn't consider himself very easily surprised. They'd done enough crazy shit to make most dramatic reveals look predictable.
He had to admit, though, he hadn't been prepared for just how clingy Cyclonus would be.
He'd definetly been expecting Tailgate to be his smooshy-wooshy self, and he was, always sitting himself in Whirl's lap or holding his claws or giving him those little nuzzles that definetly don't count as kisses but are basically the best the two of them could muster with the complete lack of mouths between them.
But Cyclonus? For someone so tough and all im-a-dignified-ancient-warrior-whose-too-good-for-these-shenanigans-blarrrrrgh-ey , he really did turn out to be a massive sap. It was like he physically needed to be holding someone at all times or he'd die. It didn't matter where they were, Whirl was now getting approximately 200% more affection than he'd ever gotten before. Not that he was complaining.
Whirl didn't really drink anymore, part of the whole 'healthy coping mechanisms' thing he was trying out, which officially made him the Sober Friend at Swerve's karaoke nights. Which, ugh, boring. Healthy coping mechanisms were decidedly lame. Luckily, Tailgate and Cyclonus were also lame, and total lightweights. Which usually meant karaoke night lasted for about 2 songs before the two would get suitably distracted by being their stupid adorable overly affectionate selves.
Which is exactly where Whirl found himself tonight, Tailgate in his lap nuzzling not-kisses into his stomach and Cyclonus with his arm wrapped around Whirl, laying his head on Whirl's shoulder listening to the music and drifting off like the old man he was, occassionaly pressing something closer to an actual kiss onto Whirl's shoulder plating.
Whirl would let them go for a while until he got a bit too overwhelmed by that feeling he refused to admit he had because it would make him look like an absolute wimp and decided that party time was over and carried his minibot home while Cyclonus trailed along insisting he wasn't actually that drunk, and when they got back to the room and piled into bed the other two would be out in seconds, leaving Whirl alone to think his private, sappy, squooshy thoughts and realize that, whether he admitted it or not, he was a complete wimp.
Cyclonus is so physically affectionate? Like, I don't think this is even a headcanon? The way he holds Tailgate, the way he lets Whirl hold him, that time he kissed Rodimus on the cheek.
You get this broody purple tin can to open up just a little and there's so much casual affection in there. I love soft Cyclonus, I need more

I know you mainly draw KOBB, but could ypu possibly draw Cyclonus x Tailgate? In either human or transformer version, both of your versions of either would be goregous (as always!) You dont have to get to it NOW, its just a request/idea and if you end up doing it, you do! I hope this doesnt sound pressuring or naggy but if it does I apologize 🥲
