After leopard seal selkie loses her Seal Mom to a group of hungry orcas… tried making it look like she’s shedding tears (yes, while underwater. Maybe they’re frozen? lol)

Did this print with traditional battleship grey linoleum because I wanted to give it a second try (as they’re cheaper and better for the environment). But I was just reminded how much I HATE carving it! Even warming it periodically didn’t seem to get the right consistency that I personally prefer! Maybe I’m just not using sharp enough tools (I keep using the cheaper Speedball ones). Maybe if I invested in higher quality tools, I’d enjoy battleship gray linoleum better. But I’m gonna stick to the softer cut for the time being! 😤

(And yes I know I forgot the white spot on the chin of one of the orcas)

I find myself staring at screens quite a lot.

I look at one all day for my job. I relax by looking at the small one I carry around with me. It is the only way I can really reach friends. I need one to make my art....I love these things. But I'm also definitely a slave to them.

My physical book collection continues to grow. But sadly no amount of books can replace my need to bask in the glow of the screens.

You might have noticed the new character model. I'm having fun with blender again and am in slightly better health, so I'm making little unplanned renderings. This one is kinda vent-y, but I still had fun making it, even though it did require more screen time...woo.
