Heya everyone! I’m Soda/Rivet/Wally. This is my sideblog for posting about Sonic The Hedgehog and its fanhorror subcommunity.

I like/follow from @/fandomsoda and will be reblogging things I’ve posted there onto here as well.

I’m very passionate and unapologetic about what I like and I try to keep things positive. And in case you’re worried- I don’t usually reblog any excessively violent content, just because I like horror characters doesn’t mean I’ll reblog gratuitously violent things. in fact- I love doing wholesome and silly things rather than edgy things

It's honestly really sad how many genuinely awesome exe ocs are out there getting little to no interaction :( cuz when creators don't get engagement it's super discouraging and a lotta them end up just... disappearing and it sucks. Also ppl SERIOUSLY need to chill the hell up when it comes to other ppl's characters, especially female ones because not everyone are okay with weird and simpy comments, and some creators have literally stopped posting their exes because of that kind of behavior (WORSE when it's a child exe like Tripwire) This honestly worries me because i srs don't wish to see ppl being stupid and overly weird about female exes (and not popular ones once ppl discover them) that i love and end up ruining the comfort and fun around the characters

most arguments I see towards curse being a bad exe (he isn’t even an exe anymore) are just “he’s trans” or “his body type” and I find that intriguing because that’s not actual criticism or a valid reason to hate him. basically means you’re transphobic or in public you hate people based off their body which is weird. the story, yeah, It originally wasn’t that good and even the creator of curse admitted that, but you never see anyone talking about the story lol and I’m NOT saying you have to like curse, but if you’re gonna openly hate on his character at least have a good reason other than the same two things over and over. and before you say “his creator was bad!!”, all of those allegations were cleared up, and no one ever had problems separating the art from the artist before. If you dislike him that’s fine but don’t nitpick. so that’s my hottake, curse really isn’t as bad as people make him out to be. (and stop comparing him to sark because curse kills PDF files and sark IS the PDF file)

The fact that a character like Curse, whose story covers abuse, trauma, (as of recently) S/A, the ugly effects it has on people, and how someone can heal, all written by an actual fucking survivor is maligned and called “gooner slop” while characters like 2011/Lord X who are just spooky evil sonic are treated like they’re super deep and interesting is fucking despicable, actually. And I think the reason why that’s despicable should be blatantly obvious.
