are people talking about the labor conditions at Taylor Farms yet? like the fact they use enslaved prisoners in their facilities?

are we drawing the connection between worker safety and consumer safety & public health yet?

are people demanding to see the conditions in this place that keeps making us sick? why are the enslaved workers not having the time to use the bathroom or to rest when ill? very few people would shit in front of their coworkers given any choice at all.

In case anyone hasn't heard, the cyclospora outbreak affecting tons of people in the US right now is coming from Taylor Farms produce. Best to stay away from bagged lettuce and prepared salads completely right now, but especially the ones mentioned in the screenshot:

Taylor Farms Earthbound Farms Little Salad Bar (Aldi) Marketside (Walmart) Kroger House Brand Target private label greens Costco salads and greens etc Trader Joe's chopped salad kits and fresh produce Fast food: McDonalds, Taco Bell, (Yum! Brands), Chipotle, Subway, Pizza Hut, KFC, Olive Garden, Top Golf, Red Lobster, Burger King, etc.

This is not the first time I've heard about a Taylor Farms foodborne illness outbreak. I stopped eating their salads after reading a description of the conditions in their facilities. Doesn't sound like they've improved anything.

We need a fully funded and staffed FDA, and regulations with teeth - and that's exactly what we don't have under Trump. To make things worse, the CDC is no longer tracking these outbreaks. We're on our own.

I'm surprised I was able to get this far into the 2020's without needing to ask for mutual aid but here we are 💔

Local dentist saw a shadow on an x-ray for an unrelated visit and found bacteria eating away at my tooth and skull thats been happening for years. It hasn't been spotted until now because I wasn't showing any of the associated symptoms.

I need multiple surgeries to get the remains of the front tooth broken into pieces and removed, the bacteria scrubbed off, a bone graft applied to my skull, an implant installed and of course a new crown manufactured and screwed in.

They urged me to do it as soon as possible or else it will get worse.

Its not even the matter of finding a good tutorial online I feel is the issue with some of these responses. If you are someone on your art journey and overall have difficulty drawing EVERYONE'S hair, that's one thing. But even if you don't have a tutorial per say to show you can draw Black hair, its odd you don't apply your knowledge of drawing straight hair and apply that logic onto afro-textured hair. And I mean this in a way where, we all have a hairline, we all part our hair to certain degrees, you know what a braid is, you know how to SHAPE hair. What's so difficult of adding textures? Often I see people say it takes too long to get the curls in. That's silly considering most of yall don't draw every strand of straight hair either. So what's not clicking?

This idea that drawing textured hair somehow takes more time or is uniquely more difficult is way too engrained in the art community, when its really just a matter of drawing shapes in different sizes, lengths and patterns, like it's not hard at all and seeing all of these responses to "No black characters aren't harder, BUT-"

Is just like, come on yall, it doesn't matter what skill level your at, textured hair is very easy to draw.
