Following up on the non comment : how do you wake up in your DR so you just intend, or know, or assume you'll wake up there? how long did it take you before your first shift? what was yuor ahah moment?
It did take a lot of persistence, and i definitely always recommend LOA and other schools of thought that focus on mindset. Obviously you don't need them to shift but if you want to be consistent and effortless, it sure doesn't hurt lol. I wake up in my dr usually by embodying the thoughts of my dr self. Especially very relatable thoughts that get me emotional, like having road rage or venting to someone.
I love mediation so most of my shifting attempts are in a state like that. I wouldn't even really say i had an aha moment, but when I got better and meditating i learned that i saw more progress when i didnt think of the trial and error as a chore, and more of a way to gain more experience. I know that it can be really discouraging, but why would i worry about shifting when i know its inevitable for me? I also love telling stories, so the more interesting things that happen the more i can share what i learned.
Anyway, it really just kept getting easier to meditate and control my thoughts, and that directly impacted my ability to shift/focus long enough to set my intention. This might not be fully relatable but i genuinely think the more time I spent on my phone or was in a state of brain rot my shifting would be unsuccessful af bc I could not actually sit with myself without the need to doomscroll. Then I worked on meditating (doesn't have to be sitting in silence btw) and eventually shifting became so much simpler. This sounds like im sponsored by Big Meditations but truly it helps you understand more about yourself and i think it also helps ppl figure out their own personal methods and beliefs.
TLDR (its somehow still long); I wake up by thinking like my dr self, but not robotically, just like how my dr self would have their internal monologue. I do this while meditating and eventually im thinking those thoughts because I've actually shifted. It took me years to shift because I was constantly thinking I had to do it in a specific way. When I learned to just try new things for the fun of it and embrace and kinda romanticize that once I shifted i wouldn't be in this beginner phase it was really fun. I enjoyed finding out what works best for me instead of it becoming a desperate need for escape, and then it just started becoming more natural to me. Meditating helped a lot too obviously. Once that clicked I really started seeing some progress, but im not perfect.
There's so many different ways to shift, and I always learn something new from each attempt. I'm the type of person to be very thoughtful with each shifting attempt, but I've still shifted in very casual ways too. There's not right or wrong, so I really recommend just doing what feels right to you. A lot of shifters already have the knowledge they need, I think sometimes we just need reassurance that we're doing the right thing. Persist, persist, persist!
How do u wake up to your DR?
Usually I wake up by an external force, like someone tapping me on the shoulder or being in a car and it making a sharp turn, etc. I will say the idea of "feeling your surroundings change" was always a bit misleading to me because when I shifted it never felt foreign. If I went to bed in my cr and shifted to me being in the car, when I shifted it felt like I was in the car the whole time. Sorry if that's confusing I've noticed a couple of interesting things that happen right at the beginning of shifting that sometimes people overthink, but usually it's a pretty seamless transition!

when you wake up in your cr next time, start seeing it like a shift, because it truly is. did you know that your awareness, every. single. day. recreates your reality from scratch? you never wake up in the exact same reality twice. when you go to sleep at night, your reality, your mind, your body, ceases to exist. you are awareness. pure and simple. when you wake up, it's just a recreation based on your past memories and past assumptions. and this is happening every. single. day. so next time you wake up in your cr, don't cry and think you haven't shifted. no. examine yourself like it's a different reality you've just slipped into. examine your arms like they're something new. examine your room like it's something new. walk through the world like it's a different reality that you're temporarily become aware of. that you've temporarily gained awareness through this particular body but tomorrow may be another body. another reality. another awareness.
“If I intended to shift to my DR why am I still seeing my CR?”
Ok let’s show you in real time why that’s not true. Not invalidating your experience or feelings, but this will help you see what I mean.
First: Find a doorway between two rooms, or any place where you can move from Point A to Point B. You could do this at home when you’re calm, so people in public don’t look at you like you’ve lost your mind. But it can be anywhere.
Next: Grab your headphones. Put on a song. Any song, but make it LOUD if you can. If you can’t handle loud, that’s fine, just put it at a comfy volume, but if you can, crank it up.
Now: Close your eyes. CLOSE THEM. Do a make-shift blindfold if you have to, but keep them shut.
You’re in Room A, music blasting, eyes closed.
Now, walk to Room B with your eyes still closed. Step through the doorway.
You’re in Room B now, right? But the music you were hearing in Room A is still the same. The visuals—the black behind your eyelids—still the same.
Soooo… how are you sure you’re in Room B?
“Uh, because I walked there.”
Really? Are you sure about that? The sound didn’t change. The visuals didn’t change. So how do you know you’re in Room B?
“Well, duh, because I moved. I walked into Room B, and if I walk somewhere, I move there.”
Exactly. That’s shifting. You walked (intended, assumed, observed, used a lucid dream, void, meditated—whatever you do) and moved. does that mean you’re still in Room A?
The music from the “old reality” is still playing. The visuals from “old reality” are still there (eyes closed). But you’re in Room B.
It's why intention/action → guaranteed outcome.
You can’t see it with your eyes closed, yet you know you’re there because you walked there.
The music and black behind your eyes are continuity, but the location changed instantly.
“Seeing = proof” is false; action is the proof.
You choose to walk there using whatever works for you. It can be any view, law, method or technique. All of them are valid because they’re all action.
“Okay but how do I open my eyes then?”
You don’t need to. That’s the gag.
You thinking you need to open your eyes to see your DR is like saying you need to open your eyes to confirm you’re in Room B, when you already are. The visuals don’t prove where you are—the fact you moved (intended) proves where you are.
The urge to “open your eyes” comes from thinking you’re still in Room A because the music and visuals didn’t change. But if you get why intention = outcome, you realize:
→ You don’t need visuals to confirm your DR.
→ You don’t need to “break the illusion.” The illusion breaks when you see it doesn’t make sense to demand visual proof when action already happened.
If you really want to “open your eyes,” then:
Recognize that you already have your DR because you intended it. See how absurd it is to think you don’t have it just because you’re still hearing the “music” of your CR.
Relax your mind, let go of “needing to see,” and watch how your awareness starts letting in DR proofs in ways that feel natural.
why are people always so pressed when bloggers tell you “just assume” like . it’s called law of ASSUMPTION… not law of you have to do this this and this and then do a 30 day challenge and have a restrictive mental diet and listen to 90 subliminals and then affirm 800k times and wait for the 3d to catch up and- no. what are you doing. stop???? and most importantly stop getting so pressed when we tell you to properly apply to the law; just ASSUME. the same way you assumed that test would be hard before having any physical proof of it. the same way you assumed the mall was going to be crowded today before even seeing it. and just as easily, you can assume it’ll be DIFFERENT that day because you said so. because you assumed so. it’s that easy.
it’s like… what do you want us to say??
like would it make you feel better if we told you to do an 100 step routine that you wouldn’t even bother doing?
do you want us to shove challenges down your throat, and after that’s over what next?
be happy with the fact that it’s easy, why do you get upset when we say loa and shifting is AS EASY AS BREATHING??
just. fucking. assume. and you can have and get rid of ANYTHING
> LOCK IN < IN PRACTICE
1. Final Decision – You decide that you already have it. You are not trying, hoping or wishing. It is already yours.
2. Nothing Outside of It Exists – Anything that does not reflect your decision is irrelevant. If it arises, ignore it or reinterpret it in your favor.
3. Zero Reaction – Adverse circumstances have no weight. They do not change your inner certainty.
4. Absolute Confidence – You do not need to “fix” anything. Your only function is to remain certain that you already have it.
5. Living Normally – You act and think as if you already have it, effortlessly, without trying to “make it happen”.
Lock in it is about making your decision so absolute that external reality has no choice but to bow to it.
Dealing with doubts and contradictions in the "who told you?" method

Who told you that you are feeling like shit? Who told you that you have no money? Who told you that you don’t have your SP? Who told you that you angry or depressed?
remember the divine order of things: as WITHIN so WITHOUT.
If you are giving power to the external and bringing it to the internal and allowing it to intoxicate you, you are giving your divine power away.
So who told you that?
Always ask that and go back within and remind yourself of the truth and correct that then go live your life.
If you absorb an identity and you are BEING it, everything you do will lead to that, there is no wrong choice, theres no wrong movement, as long as you remain the person you chose within and don't contradict that.

Whatever you do, do you, of course. BUT, PLEASE...whether you are aiming to be just void or I AM...decide, know, you have all your desires (including being Void). Don't spend your life strictly aiming for the void and feeling lack the rest of the time regarding your dream life. I've seen too many folks "attempt" the void for months and years when they could just have decided they had it all, or shift easily, all the while. Don't rob yourself of your own power.
i pinky promise, hand on heart, other hand holding a matchstick about to light this baby up, this is the only shifting post you need. no fluff, no razzle-dazzle, no five-paragraph essays about brainwaves or how you need to do the cha-cha in a lucid dream to make it happen. none of that. i know, i know, you’ve seen a million of these posts before!!!!! they’re all like, ‘just believe, babe!!!!!’ and toss you into the deep end of manifestation tiktok. but i’m serious.
let me break it down: shifting is easy. I KNOW. I KNOW. "emma i've been trying for five years, NOTHING's happening." no, REALLY, you’ve already been doing it. every day. every time you zone out during a lecture, or start daydreaming about a life where you’re waltzing around versailles with marie antoinette or sipping espresso in twin peaks. that feeling !!!!!!! that’s it !!!!!! that’s the first brush of the sandworm under your feet.
the FIRST TRUTH!!!!! you don’t need a method. forget the ladder, the cracking raven, the star charts. sure, they’re cute, but they’re like training wheels. the real power is in knowing. knowing you’ve already got it. you just do it. you’re not asking reality to let you in; you’re telling it where you want to go. AND THEN YOU GO !!!!! SO GO !!!!!
the SECOND TRUTH!!!!! your mind is your arrakis. it is vast, it is hot, it is buzzing with potential. you can plant anything there, and it’ll grow!!!! timelines, dreams, full-on universes. all you need to do is stop overthinking it. shifting isn’t about fighting to make it happen. it’s about leaning back, relaxing, and letting it take you.
think of it like floating in the ocean: the more you try to force it, the harder it gets. but if you let go, trust the waves, you’ll find yourself drifting effortlessly toward where you want to be.
the THIRD TRUTH!!!! you’re already there. no, i’m not being cryptic or trying to sound like a fortune cookie. what you desire.....the reality, the life, the version of yourself you’re dreaming of.......it’s already yours. time and space are silly little concepts for the mortals. you’re a prophet. you’ve already conquered them. movin' on.
you don’t have to prove you’re worthy, you don’t need a cosmic permission slip. you’re already the shaper of the unshapeable. so !!!!!! stop overcomplicating it. how to shift? nr one: know you shift, nr two: you're in your reality. BAM. KABOOM. shifting is easy because you’re the one in charge, and you always have been. don’t think too hard; just be. be the person in the river, sipping iced coffee, pissing out enlightenment. be the person NASA is terrified of because you’re too sustainable. be the person on their vespa, popping wheelies through timelines like a pope on holiday.
you don’t need angel numbers or the moon in the 7th house to tell you it’s working. it’s working because you’re the one making it work.
shifting isn’t about imagining every detail of your dream life; it’s about embodying the feeling of being there. stop doubting yourself. stop checking the clock or waiting for ‘proof.’ the second you decide to shift, it’s done !!!!!

okay so i finished checking if we were friends in every universe and, uh, it turns out we're only friends in 6 of them. but look, i need you to understand these universes vary like crazy, okay? like 6 is actually insanely high, like way higher than most. and one of those is the universe where i accidentally killed the actor who played Dipsy from Teletubbies when i was 7 and my life went completely differently as a result. and we still ended up friends! also you were a girl in that universe for some reason. what? oh, uh, yeah, you were cute as hell. like really cute. did you just fucking giggle
brushing off your senses + the "let them" theory
note: fully inspired by @stilljuststardust's post "the senses shift last", which you can read here.
how often do you experience anxiety? or intrusive thoughts? as a person living in a certainly tempestuous time, you've likely had to brush off those thoughts more than once.
the act of shifting is defined by choosing to become aware of your desired reality, and your senses immediately following suit is a rare event.
when you go to shift to your desired reality, I want you to brush off what your senses tell you like you would an irrational thought. if you're like me and have ocd or anxiety or depression, this doesn't seem possible, so I offer you another solution —
treat your senses like they're a jealous peer spreading rumours about you. we've all been there already. not everyone is going to like you, and sometimes that makes them lash out in ridiculous ways. there's nothing else you can do about it than brush them off, laugh at it, scoff at it.
you know that meme, "all I can do is pray for you — matter a' fact bow ya head"? that's the energy you have to embody when somebody's lying to you or on you. oh, I hope you'll get better ♡ jealousy is a disease type energy. when you shift, treat the 3D and your senses like you pity them for not knowing better and feeling that way. pity the 3D for not keeping up with the times. pay it less mind than you would someone trying to get a rise out of you.
have you ever heard of the "let them" theory? I first discovered it on the justnomil subreddit. it's a way of not giving someone attention when they're doing something stupid, or mean, or ridiculous. essentially, if someone's not going to listen to reason or common sense, don't sweat off your back trying to get them to. it's unnecessary stress and futile. let them make a fool of themself because experience is the best teacher.
so let the 3D say what it wants. let your senses try to convince you that you haven't shifted. it won't matter because you know the truth. you know you're in your DR. you know you're your DR self. let the 3D make a fool of itself — experience will make it catch up sooner or later.
tldr — look at the 3D like this when you're trying to shift;

be sure to limit this method to when you're actively trying to shift or manifest. don't use it to fuel delusions or psychosis. you can participate in the 3D and maintain lucidity while still manifesting.

so to answer both of your asks, this how manifestation works:
CHOOSING: what is it that you want? what are your desires? do you have all of them in mind right now? yes? ok good
HOW TO: now that you know what you want all you have to do is say “it is done”. this is one of my favourite affirmations, because it just sums everything up. it’s called an “umbrella” affirmation.
BELIEF & FAITH: these two play the biggest role when it comes to manifesting. now that you decided what it is that you want, CONGRATULATIONS! you manifested your dream life! isn’t that great? of course. now, i know this may sound insane, but no. this is how manifestation works. you ASSUME you have something (could be anything possible ever) and from that moment on you HAVE IT. all you have to do right now is BELIEVE in yourself, because there’s no reason for you to doubt that you actually manifested your desires.
HOW TO BELIEVE: you simply have to live in imagination. what does this mean tho? this simply means that, whenever the thought of your desire(s) comes up in your head, you think to yourself “yup, this is mine. i have it” (BELIEVING IN YOURSELF). what this does NOT mean is that you have to constantly think about your desires! because guess what, if you already had your desire(s), you wouldn’t constantly stress over them and overthink if you had them. here’s a great analogy:
you have a name, right? of course you do. you KNOW (believe) that you have a name, because you just do. but let me ask you this: do you constantly have to remind yourself that you have a name? no, you don’t, because you’re sure that you have one.
the same thing works for your desires. you KNOW (believe) you have them because you decided so! if you just know (have faith in yourself= aka believe) that you have xyz, you don’t stress it out.
at first, you may feel as if you’re forcing yourself to believe that you have something that you can’t physically see. this is why PERSISTING in the knowing that you have what you desire is important.
LIVING IN IMAGINATION: again, this simply means that you BELIEVE in yourself and trust it when it comes to your desires. NOTE: it’s not your thoughts that manifest, but what you BELIEVE in. let me put it this way:
the human mind can reach up to 70,000 thoughts per day. that’s a lot. does that mean that you now have to worry that every single thing that you think is going to manifest? hell no to the no no.
i used the same analogy on this post of mine, which i think explains this better: imagine you’re listening to music and you suddenly get the thought that you’re going to get hit by a car. that’s called an intrusive or negative thought. does that now mean that you’re ACTUALLY going to get hit by a car? no lmfao. you might panic and say “why am i thinking this?” but don’t worry. intrusive thoughts are completely normal. if you DON’T BELIEVE you’re going to get hit by a car, then you just aren’t going to!
PERSISTING: when in your mind, you know that you have what you want. you believe in it, because you can’t not believe in it. you have faith in yourself because you ARE SURE your desires are yours. now PERSIST in that knowing, not because “the 3d has yet to have shown me my desires” but because “my desires exist in my mind (your ONLY true reality) and that’s on period”.
SUMMARY: all the steps
- CHOOSE your desires. got everything in mind? great! you can script your desires down if you want, but it’s NOT needed.
- TELL YOURSELF THAT “it is done”. or use any other affirmation, it doesn’t matter! CONGRATS, YOU MANIFESTED YOUR DESIRES BAE.
- BELIEVE & HAVE FAITH in yourself. you have what you want, you don’t have to worry about anything else. you get an intrusive thought? who cares. thoughts don’t manifest, what you BELIEVE in does. what you KNOW exists, just does.
- PERSIST because nothing can get in the way of your manifestation and you! not the 3d, not negative thoughts, not your feelings, not anything. so let loose and go about your day how you normally would.
