Septima smiled back gratefully. âSame here. Too easy to do in this library, unfortunately. Or fortunately, I suppose you could also say.â
âI suppose itâs a mix of both.â Sybill considered, canting her head to the side with a smile.Â
âRich definitely has the warm and fuzzy demeanor that I seem to lack,â Rita said in a joking tone, but she knew that it was the truth. Most people didnât find her that warm and welcoming, but they found her brother that way, he definitely made up for what she lacked. He was a much better people person than she was, to be quite honest, Rita hated people, she found them a pain, other than a selected few who she could actually stand. Luckily, Sybill fell into that category, even though some people found her rather odd, Rita was absolutely enthralled with the girl. She was interesting, sweet, funny, all things that she lacked in her own personally, Sybill seemed to be. âYou were probably right, that is most likely the only reason she is so bothered by it,â Rita offered with a shrug, not knowing the full extent of the details. âWould it be too predictable to ask for a class about wand lore? Other than that, maybe more academic classes, ones that are more about history or government, rather that training classes like potions or defense against the dark arts.âÂ
âOh, perhaps, but at least you make it interesting.â Sybill countered, eyeing the other blonde with a wry smile. Sybill would be lying if she said she preferred Rich. Oh, there was nothing wrong with the Ollivander - he was everything most girls enjoyed but Sybill had always enjoyed the unusual and the odd and Rita Ollivander fell right into that category. She was different than her brother and Sybill could admire it. Not to mention Sybill had seen the witch stand up to even the meanest Slytherins. Sybill admired that even more. Leaning back in her chair, Sybill snickered at Ritaâs suggestions, nodding thoughtfully. âAye, I agree. Iâd find a class about wand lore far more interesting than I would transfiguration. Itâs so unique to think how all our magic is controlled by such a object. To learn more about it would be far more intriguing than this drivel.â Sybill gestured at her transfiguration book.Â
âOh, Merlin, again? He needs to stop messing with peopleâs food, honestly,â she said, head shaking. âThanks for the warning.â
âAye, he does but whoâs going to tell him that? Iâll leave that up to you.â Sybill murmured, leaning back in her chair. âItâs my civic duty to warn others about that damn poltergeist.âÂ
Alecto let go of the handle. âTrelawney, isnât it?â
âAye.â
âOh, those are my absolute favourite. Itâs almost like they want us to get sick with how many they serve, theyâre too good to turn down.â
âAnd Lord knows I get far too sick from consuming far too many.â
âPlease Sybill, I am PERFECTLY sweet to you, d e s e r v i n g l y sweet to you. Thereâs got to be a better way, no way this is a lose-lose situation.â
âWhat would you suggest then?â
âAmazing, you are, Syb. McGoogs is right in her giving him an EARFUL but sometimes I wonder if we just completely ignored him, maybe heâd leave us alone.â
âYouâre far too sweet to me, Alice. I suppose ignoring him would just anger him, perhaps even spite him.â
âThat is surprising. Typically only the Baron can control him. Perhaps I should fear you using him to your advantage.â
âI would use my powers for good, promise.â
âFair enoughâ she stated âYou only make that mistake onceâ
âPeeves is a tricky one.â
âWell I dont see why notâ
âYou will once Peeves drops a cherry bomb on you.â
âYet here I am, doing it anyways.â
âThen be my guest.â
âItâs not much of a plan, more like an idea.â
âThe beginning of a beautiful plan as all ideas are.â
âUnacceptable really. How to take him down for good is a start.â
âA worthy plan.â
