could you break down uberibus apertis?
So there's a noun, uber, meaning "breast" or "teat", followed by a verb, aperire, "to uncover".
This verb, though, is taking an adjectival form, the perfect participle passive, which can be translated "having been uncovered". The ppp often adds a -t- to the infinitive stem, so you end up with the stems uber- and apert-.
The endings -ibus and -is are both ablative plural, just from different declensions. The ablative case is used for lots of things but this use, called the ablative of description*, describes an attribute of someone or something: here it might be translated "with uncovered breasts."
I'm not sure how detailed of a breakdown you were looking for, but hopefully this suits!
*In case you're wondering, there's no practical difference in this scenario between the ablative of description and ablative absolute; you could label it either way and still translate it the same.
@latinare out of curiosity, any reason why you used uber over mamma? I feel as though the latter's more typical for humans? Love your work btw :)

It's nice that New Who has finally been around long enough that we've largely escaped the RTD/Moffat binary of the early 2010s and there's a much more pluralistic group of factions with like Tennant/Smith casuals, old school tenrose diehards, hardcore Twelfth Doctor fans, Thasmins, and I'm sure there's a whole new group developing right now around Fifteen. It's a much more balanced ecosystem of groups that all absolutely despise each other
What would you consider yourself?
Tennant/Smith casual
Old School Tenrose Diehard
Hardcore Twelfth Doctor Fan
Thasmin
Classic/EU fan
The current era is my favorite actually
other (please explain)
has this been done yet?
I love it when music artists give the impression they've come straight from a greek language tute at oxford and thought fuck it this new word I just learnt would look rad in a song.
