Hey guys I'ma share my dirty otome trick with you.

I (1) do not have an expendable income or an income at all and (2) I have gamer tenacity.

So here's how this trick works.

This is for collection events, but it's important to start before the collection event.

This only works with IKEMEN VAMPIRE and IKEMEN PRINCE (Ikemen Villains info pending)

Where I'm at after only a day into the event, not expending any tickets or items.

First off, the important thing about these two games is that you can switch your route without penalty.

The second, crucial thing for collection events is that you DO NOT COLLECT YOUR HEARTS until AFTER you pass the check. Not just for the check, but also for the entire chapter.

So say you get 5 hearts for finishing the chapter and then you get 3 for passing the check.

Do you see where I'm going with this?

Here's the breakdown:

Ok wait first let's cover the obvious and negative point of this hack. If you haven't done all the routes, won't you get them all confused by doing only a little at a time?

The answer is not really especially if you keep notes. I have a gaming notebook anyway for all the video games that I play, I just jot down really quickly where I am in the story and quest items I still need to get next time I'm in the game. It's the same for otome, except you probably need less notes. Maybe a few questions about your suitor if you have them. 🤭

I haven't run into any issues with doing it this way and I rarely take notes (there's a little blurb at the top reminding you of where you're at before you start the next chapter), even with a lot of routes that I haven't yet done, I have not had any confusion. Though if you do want to keep light notes, please! It's a nice habit to be in.

I do however keep organized in notebook where I'm at with my suitors as well, which helps with the planning.

Example:

So I have the checks in their own column because it's possible to have completed chapter 2, but not the check, and it's also possible to have completed the chapter 2 check but not chapter 3.

Additionally, the check location points are universal in each game.

Checkpoints, alternating between Intimacy and Avatar, are after the following chapters for every suitor:

IkeVamp- 2, 4, 7, 10, 12, 15, 17, 19, 21, 24

IkePri- 2, 4, 7, 10, 12, 14, 17, 19, 22, 24

My notebook has this for each suitor. Yeah it's a little excessive. But let me explain why it helps with planning.

Say you manage to have all your IkeVamp suitors (let's say 14 of them) at the intimacy check when the collection event starts. It usually starts with a lucky story time.

You manage to get everyone cleared without expending tickets, that nets you

14 suitors x (15+9) hearts = 336 HEARTS

Great. That's almost enough to kiss everyone. How many kisses do you even need? It's 35 to clear one suitor, and if there's 15 suitors it's 525.

Yeah. You're more than halfway there on day one.

But you still have the rest of the way to go so you still need to plan.

So let's count the days you have in the event, and figure out how many more checkpoints you can get to.

Did you start on a 2x lucky story time instead of a 3x? This happens when they put the 3x near the end. Do this figuring above first and ONLY PASS the ones that you'd be able to achieve on the second round. That way you can achieve your max # of hearts.

Now, here's where we can get screwy.

Check:

Collection event bonuses for AP and ticket items. Take into account what you will EARN while doing this.

Route release bonuses

Currently, because Faust was just released, you will also receive 2x tickets when completing ANY chapter 3 and 3x tickets when completing ANY chapter 5.

Right? It's a lot of what looks like math work. But it's not. And if you're organized, it's really easy to just quickly map out the event.

Final pro tip: I often get to the point where I have everyone at an intimacy check and there's no collection event in sight. I will at this point, pick a suitor to continue doing. Just one. Whichever one was most interesting.

This is how I managed to rank on every collection event without spending money, thanks for coming to my Ted talk.

I'm sorry I wrote this half asleep. Let me explain with an example with today's IkeVamp event. It's going to differ for every event so your plan can be customized accordingly.

Here's the lucky time schedule! We are going from 4/7 to 4/15 which means if I saved my tickets on 4/7 until 6pm, I have 9 days worth of tickets. As I progress on hearts, I will gain an additional 6 limited use tickets, meaning I can achieve 10 days worth of chapters.

This is assuming you have every suitor (14) queued at chapter 2, before the intimacy check.

Day 1, 4/7, 3x lucky time: I clear every suitor, and finish chapter 3 on one of them (Napoleon). Hearts: 351 (351+)

Day 2, 4/8, 3x lucky time: I bring Napoleon to his avatar check and pass it. At this point you'd have received your 5 limited use tickets. I take Mozart through chapter 3. Hearts: 39 (390+)

Day 3, 4/9: I bring Mozart up to his avatar check but I do not pass it. It's not lucky time. I don't gain any story hearts. (390+)

Day 4, 4/10, 2x lucky time: I clear chapter 3 with Leonardo. Hearts: 10 (400+)

Day 5, 4/11: I bring Leonardo to the avatar check but I do not clear it. No story hearts.* (400+)

Day 6, 4/12: I clear Arthur's chapter 3. Hearts: 5 (405+)

Day 7, 4/13, 2x lucky time: I notice it's lucky time, and since getting Arthur to his avatar check would not gain me anything, I switch to Vincent chapter 3. Hearts: 10 (415+)

Day 8, 4/14, 3x lucky time: I take Vincent to his avatar check and clear it. Hearts: 24 (439+)

Day 9, 4/15, 3x lucky time: I take Arthur to his avatar check and clear it. I also clear Leonardo's* Hearts: 48 (485+)

Okay so are you wondering about the +? I'm gonna just sort of slap battles at the end here. You're going to get about 4 limited use wine sets so make sure you use those during the lucky battle times.

You only need 40 hearts from your battles.

So only using the limited use items that you gain from bonuses, you CAN reach the all clear of 525 hearts.

Side note: right now with Faust's release and I'm not sure how much longer, every chapter 3 you cleared you got 2 story tickets that are not limited use, so you theoretically got 10 free story tickets from all this. You can use items you have if you want to, I'm just going off everything you don't get to keep post-event in the above breakdown.

I really hope that helps and I'm sorry if I'm confusing once again. Istg this all makes sense in my mind.

I assume you can just follow the same pattern while employing it, but always curious to listen.

For the unenlightened working with time zone math, you can enter the events into your Google calendar (or perhaps other apps) with the listed time and setting the time to JST, it will automatically convert to your time. Plus afterwards you can easily check every morning if there will be lucky story time today.

Re: free story ticket

Yes this gets calculated when working with IkePri, the JP IkePri server, AND THE JP IKEVAMP SERVER. Yeah, who knew the jp ikevamp also gives you a free ticket when you watch the ad.

Keep in mind though-- IkeVamp will let you change suitor at Ch3 Part4, but IkePri will not allow you to change until the end of chapter.

So when handling IkePri's free tickets, make sure you remember to change routes at the end of chapters. That's why, with the schedule I write out, I can see who I'm going to be handling next and in what order so I can change routes fairly easily without fuss.

Putting the calendar events in, noting down who I'm doing on what day, it's a one time activity. Once I have it down I just follow the plan. The rest of the event I'm kinda sleeping through it, trusting in the plan.
