✘ Capsaicin Cookie rp blog ✘ private . selective . low activity ✘ fired up by era ✘ 30+ she/her
Despite herself, Sugarplum Faerie Cookie laughs too.
She's not sure why that is. It was a silly mistake, after all; now that she's looking at the Scovillian, he looks nothing like the cookie she thought she saw. Or, at least, she didn't think so. It was getting harder and harder to picture whose face that was.
"I don't know what it means either," she says lightly, and she means it. At the time, it felt important to her, but if so, wouldn't it have stayed in her memory? Would it truly had left so soon? "Must've bumped my head pretty badly when I fainted, I guess."
She takes the juice from Capsaicin Cookie and sips it, feeling her energy return to her. She's not certain if she's able to stand just yet; even though she does feel a little better, standing up too fast could easily cause her to collapse again. At the very least, somebody's with her.
"Sugarplum Faerie Cookie." She tilts her head and offers Capsaicin a gentle smile. "I work here at the palace."
"Are you enjoying your visit so far, Capsaicin?"
He laughed. Glad to see she was doing better at least. He should probably inform someone else later just to make sure in case she happened to have another spell like it. And no one would want that to happen.
"It's definitely different than Scovillia, that's for sure. Fancy, too. Funny considering how Dragon's Valley isn't too far from here either. But not at all saying that in a bad way, of course! I think the entire school is more than excited to be here."
Standing up, the spicy student looked around the hall again, this time going over to retrieve a chair for Sugarplum. Even if she needed to rest, it would at least be more comfortable than sitting on the floor. "Did ya need any help with your duties? I wouldn't mind taking over if you point me in the direction of what needs ta be done."
@spicecverlord is feeling particularly grabby:
“ look at me. “ ( from @spicecverlord to Sugarplum, perhaps found her collapsed and wanting to make sure she's okay)
She's overextended herself again.
Stupid, stupid, stupid. Lady Hollyberry had told her to take it easy, to let King Royalberry and Queen Jungleberry handle the students visiting from Scovillia. But even still, Sugarplum Faerie had wanted things to be absolutely perfect. Fresh flowers in every vase, bottles of juice for all their guests, even making sure the Hollyberrian banners were pressed and ironed properly.
She's not sure exactly when and where she collapsed. Only that for a moment, her entire world turned to static.
Her back ached fiercely. Her wrists and ankles turned cold, as if something clammy was pressing down upon them. Muffled voices rang in her ears, and a hand lifts her chin up.
The face she looks up at... It warps, distorts, blurs for a moment. Eyes blaze. Sharp fangs glint. A title, a name fades in and out of her head. Somebody who she once loved and cared for. Somebody who meant so much to her. Somebody faded and fleeting.
"Spicy...?" She mumbles breathlessly, lost in another place and time for a second. Maybe even another identity. "Bhaiya, is that you...?"
But it's gone. He's gone. Her vision clears. Standing over her is one of the young students. The other cookie, the one she must have imagined... It isn't him.
"I... I'm so sorry." She sits up, clambering onto her knees.
"I don't know what came over me just now--"
He wasn't sure what happened himself. Capsaicin had been sent on ahead while the others were finished being given a tour of where they'd be staying for the next few days. He even hadn't intended on peeking through the crack in the open door, but...
Whatever etiquette they practiced here in the Hollyberry Kingdom would have to take a back burner after spotting the girl on the floor. It wasn't nearly hot here as back home for her to overheat- at least he didn't think. But having instances where this occurred in the past of cookies collapses, Capsaicin did all he knew how to do in an event.
He cradled her head, carefully inspecting. Called out to her. Pressed a juice soaked towel against her face.
When she did show signs of coming to, he smiled. That was it.
Spicy?
Bhaiya...?
Having given her room, Capsaicin only kinda laughed pleasantly at the mix up. "No worries. I'm definitely spicy, but I don't know about Bhaiya- whatever it means."
Chains rattled as the Scovillian hurriedly retrieved some juice from the banquet table and offered it out to the smaller cookie. "Here. I dunno what happened, but I found you in here like this. No need to push yourself. The rest of my class is are still with the escort, so take as much time as you need."
He knelt down to at least speak without standing above her since he also knew well how he could come across as intimidating to those that didn't know him. "I'm Capsaicin Cookie, by the way."
i love you polychamps please kiss on screen next time you show up
explaining the fire to @covetedtruth from here
Capsaicin sheepishly rubbed the back of his head, not meaning to interrupt. He just looked so sad and sometimes a little pep talk went a long. But suppose he wouldn't know exactly what it was like to live somewhere cold either since fire was part of his dough.
"A-ah... sorry. Your passion is what I mean!" He pumped his fist. "Hot or cold, we all got something that stirs us in some way or another, right?"
Black Sapphire Cookie (in his mage’s guise) hadn’t noticed the loss of his some of his notes - the rumour-monger was busy sorting through the various rumours from the students and staff of Scovillia, under the pretence of a school inspector.
He heard Capsaicin’s call, and turned to see the hulking brute headed straight for him. He froze up instinctively - but by the time Capsaicin caught up, he’d recovered his wits a bit.
“O-oh, uh, thank you!”
"Not a problem. Just glad I could catch up with ya."
A newcomer to this school, he guessed. Capsaicin did his best to remember faces and make sure everyone knew how much Scovillia was the bestest, spiciest school around. "I'm always happy to help out. The name's Capsaicin Cookie if you ever need a tour or something. No one knows this school better than me."
It wasn't so much to brag, but visitors (and the Headmaster) typically appreciated the offer.
"He's got more brains than me, that's for sure."
@running2revelation for Black Sapphire
It didn't matter the cookie, Capsaicin was always ready to charge in to help without a second thought. So spotting the occupied host ahead drop some papers, he went into a full sprint to pick them up and return them. They could have been important after all, and he knew all too well how some professors could get with a missing assignment.
"Hey! Don't know your name, but you dropped these!" he announced, trying to catch back up.
