It was suspiciously easy to reach the 'Spire of All Knowledge'. She'd expected that the Beast who pointed her here would've had some nasty trap waiting for her, yet the path was unnervingly straightforward. Perhaps that unnerved her more than any of the lies he'd tried to poison her head with. Not that she could trust a Beast of Deceit to be truthful, but...

Nevertheless, Sugarplum Faerie Cookie reaches the large entry doors, unlocked and unguarded. She pushes them open and enters into the Spire, one step closer to whatever awaited her.

"Hello?" Her voice calls out, uncertain. "Black Sapphire?" The name feels foreign and familiar in her mouth at the same time.

"I was sent to find you...?"

Head lifting up from his notes does he finally he feel the divine impression to answer the call. Although he wasn't expecting anyone at the Spire- hasn't for many many years actually. The garble of his mic cut out to transition into a screen showing him just who graced the doors.

Ah hah!

A familiar face! And after so long! It wasn't his master, but previous day's sensation already told him it would be a matter of time where of course no seal, nor tree, could contain Master Shadow Milk forever~

Book tossed aside, he left the snoozing Candy Apple to continue whatever blue dreams she likely had to hurry and greet their guest.

Practically flying down the stairs with his more charming smile. "Oh my lucky stars! Is that THE Eternal Sugar? It has been so terribly long! Tragic what happened to you all, but have the years allow you to mistaken your garden for the Spire? Ha ha Master Shadow Milk would be entirely flatter-"

He dropped down from his mic and paused at the sight. Something off and yet... Black Sapphire tilted his head as he scrutinized the beast, but then he laughed that he should be so insensitive. "Ah, you've done something with your hair? Gorgeous as always~ But anyway... Most would come for the owner of this Spire and yet you said you were sent to find me?" He rightly presented himself with a bow before the lady. "Then how can I be of assistance?"

Shadow Milk wakes up from his extremely peaceful slumber, feeling so well rested it should be a crime. He might still be in a cage, but @paradisloth was still delightfully handcuffed to it, and he only beamed at her and then at Mysty.

"Good morning, Mysty~ How's my favorite apathetic, huh? Come closer~ I won't bite~ Too early for that to be honest.... Sheesh."

Jester Cookie was being more than a little nosy as he poked his head into the room of the Hollyberrian representatives. Out of the two groups visiting the new and improved Vanilla Kingdom for this Council, he was told this was the group who could take a joke.

So his intention might have been to set a little something up. Nothing too serious, of course, just something a little silly.

But his plans were pushed to the wayside when he caught sight of her… and there was actually a flash of recognition.

The first such flash he’d ever had.

But as quickly as it came, it was gone.

Huh. Weird.

he's  been  standing  before  the  mirror  for  longer  than  he  cares  to  recall,  fingers  curling  against  the  vanity's  edge  —  as  if  trying  to  carve  his  anxiety  out  of  the  sleek  wood.  mismatched  gaze  roams  shadow  milk's  reflection  for  the  dozenth,  hundredth,  thousandth  time.   ❝  is  that  so?  ❞   the  actor's  mouth  curves  in  a  thin-lipped  smile.  beautiful,  she  calls  him.  yet  the  compliment  brings  him  little  joy  —  no,  the  only  thing  he  truly  feels  is  a  cold,  sinking  sensation  deep  in  his  very  core.  a  hand  raises,  fingertips  carding  slowly  through  his  hair.  something  feels  wrong,  shadow  milk  is  utterly  convinced  of  it  —  though  it's  difficult  to  tell  whether  it's  paranoia  or  intuition  that  inspires  his  belief.  the  texture  of  his  hair  is  off;  too  short,  too  soft,  too...  something.  the  answer  slips  between  his  fingers  like  smoke.  immaterial;  impossible  to  grasp.

this  hair.  this  face.  these  eyes.  beautiful,  yes  —  OBVIOUSLY  he's  beautiful.  (  why  should  he  pretend  to  be  humble?  )  but  there's  a  certain  wrongness  to  it  that  shadow  milk  has  only  become  cognizant  of  since  the  playwright  allegedly  responsible  for  puppeteering  his  life  made  her  debut  upon  the  proverbial  stage.  he  catches  himself  questioning  things  he's  never  had  reason  to  question  before  —  parsing  aspects  of  his  past,  interests,  identity  in  an  effort  to  identify  what  is  truly  his  own  and  what  has  been  grafted  to  him  at  her  behest.  he  won't  be  controlled.  he  refuses  to  be  controlled.  he'll  sink  his  teeth  into  fate's  throat  if  he  needs  to,  shine  brighter  than  any  spotlight.  yet  the  paranoia  of  not  knowing  to  what  degree  he's  been  influenced  eats  away  at  him  like  a  poison.

shadow  milk  runs  a  hand  through  his  hair  once  again.  it  just  feels  wrong.  everything  feels  wrong.

❝  twelfth  night...  act  one,  scene  five.  ❞  the  actor  turns  around,  finally  tearing  himself  away  from  his  reflection,  and  flashes  a  smile  that  fails  to  reach  his  eyes.  ❝  'tis  beauty  truly  blent...  nature's  own  sweet  and  cunning  hand  laid  on.  isn't  that  right?  ❞  he  slowly  arches  a  brow,  an  accusation  implied  in  every  syllable.  ❝  unleeess,  of  course...  your  enthusiasm  for  micromanagement  also  extends  to  costume  design?  ❞   what  did  you  do  to  me?

⛓ it's nothing personal, white lily cookie. i just need your help getting her attention.

White Lily had been exploring outside of her kingdom, seeing how the surroundings change since the last time she was in the area, until the monsters grew agitated and forced the guardian into a garden that seemed to be a safe haven.

Until it wasn't.

As when she tried to leave; she was quickly caught up in vines and greeted by an angel..... No... One of the beasts and one that originally held a certain pink hero's soul jam with how the matching heart soul jam sat in the circlet which the fallen angel wore.

"Let go! Now!" She yelled, clearly panicking, as she tried to squirm out of the vines that held her but found that she was restrained completely.
