Meadow in the morning ☘️

Today I had to be at work at 6 am. When I arrived at my bus stop, this beautiful sunrise landing on the meadow delighted my eyes. Sometimes I really want to live a little longer.

how i love waking up in my beautiful mountain valley. full sun, the branches of the cherry tree bending with the weight of fruit right outside my window, and the sound of the creek three steps from my door. today is hot - full of life and joy and good food and good company - and summer is so, so sweet, i hardly know how to thank it.

slept in my childhood bed, slightly tipsy on white wine: the night was full of sounds and stars, as it always is, eerie and stunning. now im eating breakfast (the temperatures are rising to 30 degrees) that's just a bread roll, homemade butter, and a sausage the neighbour makes that he gave us nearly for free because he added too much black pepper to it by accident.

I'm eating gooseberries and drinking cold water from the mountain spring. i will go sit in my tree in a moment, watch the birds - and then maybe bathe in the creek, or make my way down the creek into the river so the water is a bit warmer.
