Intro for my Wild Kratts AU: Once Alive!

Summary: With in a few days the world has gone astray, prehistoric creatures from all time periods have returned all around the globe and with them a new threat. Every question answered leaves more to answer…

I will publish the comic Friday’s European time, and with the help of a friend minimize spelling mistakes or other things, it doesn‘t it will free of any of it.

Please forgive me if any dialog seems a bit odd English is not my first language, if it‘s too bad I will clarify if needed.

I want to interact with this fandom more than just outside my comics. I just have a crippling fear of my opinion getting out without my consent or knowledge, so what is better to say them myself!

It‘s been nearly two years having this account too so I think it‘s the perfect time to share some of my hot takes/opinions, I will preface none and I mean nothing is targeted against anyone who likes or does any of the stuff I will say. If you feel hurt or targeted by this and you are open for a conversation, my dm‘s and asks are open to anyone, I will not respond to hate or harassment.

It will go from tamer to (what I personally think) hotter takes. Read it or don‘t I just needed them to get out.

CW mention of incest, one take has my opinion on proshipping specifically in this community, skip take 2. if you don‘t like any mention of such topic.

1. The crew do things wrong or give wrong information, science is evolving and so is the show. This is inevitable and ya‘ll need to chill out when someone points out that your fave isn‘t an innocent never doing something wrong baby. They take things too far, 1st. season Jimmy was sexist at times, Koki and Aviva aren‘t always written in a good way. This show isn‘t a masterpiece and that‘s okay, criticizing it should be normal and respected.

2. Proshippers shouldn‘t use the argument: „It's just fiction“ in this community, every related character and the most known children characters are based on actual people who are affected by it. In an old Facebook post the brothers have stated that they are uncomfortable with it and that alone shows that it is affecting them in some way or another. As much as I personally don’t like proshipping I don‘t care what people do, but I do believe that respecting someone who is affected by this or is in general not comfortable with this happening, is the bare minimum and maybe you should stop using these characters. I don‘t care if they are your comfort characters and that’s how you use them, you're genuinely a horrible person. Respect someone’s boundaries I will not argue with people about this.

3. On the point of babyfication the brothers gets to a point of where they just become caricatures of themself. I admit I might not be innocent to that problem, but it gets to a point. They aren’t liwwle babies who can‘t do shit for themselves, they are adult men that have a life and responsibilities. Chris doesn‘t need his brother to protect him because he‘s so weak and needs his big bro for everything 🥹. Martin isn‘t stupid or overly immature that couldn‘t hurt a fly, he has tendencies that are bad and fairly naive that have led to someone being hurt and he has learned from them, but he doesn‘t need Aviva, Chris or Koki always hovering over him. Overly babying them often just erases the fact that they have flaws that can and inadvertently makes them seem like children. (This is specifically about headcanons and fanart and not Au‘s, where it happens too but in the context of the Au makes sense)

4. Most ships have the same problem, they either mischaracterize characters so much so that the ship could even „work“ or become „I‘m the big strong alpha“ x „small little who needs protection“ stereotypes. Does Kokiva do that too? Yes, I still hate it there too.

5. A lot of ships in the fandom are just bad and I don‘t get the appeal of them. They either make no sense, which is okay but eh, feel way too forced or are just straight up slop. I can‘t even pretend that they are any good or even somewhat appealing, a selected few I find so horrible I had to block them because I started to become physically sick from them. Again I feel like I have to say I don‘t care if you ship them or you don‘t like my favorite ship, I am mature enough to realize this is irrational and it’s just better for me to block those ships because it‘s not worth arguing. I respect your opinion as long as you respect mine. Don‘t comment on my reaction I have found out why that happens I might eventually say why just not now for it is something personal.

6. They should make Koki x Aviva canon.

„It would ruin the show!“ It wouldn't. „This show is about learning about animals!“ And homosexuality exists in the animal kingdom, there are lesbian geckos, most birds berform some kind of homosexuality. „Oh but they would need to put focus on this then and that would ruin the show“ No they wouldn‘t, simply putting it in the background and treating it as a normal thing would work. Not putting focus on it is my point actually. This isn‘t about me liking this ship and thinking it is better than others, I would want it to become canon because I know how I felt growing up as a queer kid not having anything to go of off and believing that I am not normal. That I am wrong for thinking of not liking the gender I am suppose to like. I hated Koki and Aviva as a child because I hated that I liked them more than the brothers, I hated them because I thought they would be cute together. As much as that show is about learning about animals it has also taught about friendship, going against what is evil, teaching children compassion. The both are main characters, they aren‘t evil and they are both important role models. This is the reason I want them to be a canon couple and not some random background characters. I genuinely think this would help someone not believing that they are wrong, abnormal or evil for being queer. Not every kid has access to current queer shows and maybe it would be banned too if they did that but they‘re a good chunk of kids whose parents don‘t see it but the kid does and maybe it won‘t feel so alone.

The last one is a bit more of a vent (?) than a hot take but I do still think it‘s one… Just a tip for anyone wanna find out what ships I am referring to, the ship chart I made won‘t help you I made it much more neutral than my actual opinion the only true ones are Koki x Aviva, Paisley x Rex and poly villains -Zach

I also can‘t find the Facebook post but even then as long as they don’t state anything it is still morally wrong to ship them with each other besides just incest being wrong over all.

Before someone comments on how I don‘t care what people do (Proshipping, darkshipping, etc.) it‘s more I can‘t stop em and I don‘t want to waste my time arguing with people. I have my thoughts on the matter, mostly negative, but all I can do is lend an open ear and speak my mind but if they don‘t want to change I am not wasting my time on it.

Fun fact: A lot of information on Wild Kratt‘s isn‘t as accurate as it used to be, i.e. the Zebra stribes being for disorienting predators (which they aren‘t it‘s protecting from bugs), BUT this is actually a good thing! Science evolves and everyday we learn something new about the amazing creatures that live on Earth with us. So the information my not be up to date anymore but that is an opportunity to learn more on your own :D

Fun fact: Suchomimus is no longer with us, now becoming one with the Christatusaurus (not really it’s just a speculation). The study originally wanted to look at how sensitive spinosaurids snouts were and found that the two species are in fact very similar and since Chistatusaurus was named first, so the name would be kept. RIP Suchomimus you’re still an icon (possibly) under a different name

This is a joke the depate is still on going and Suchomimus is still valid as of now, also Christatusaurus is a fragment and has yet to be fully discovered

Fun fact: There is no universally accepted „first“ dinosaur, right now it‘s a ecosystem with a couple of different species dating around 230 million years ago, in the late Triassic period. Argentina and Brazil are often recognized as the birthplace of what we now call the dinosaurs, at least the ones recognizable dinosaurs. There is still a large evolutionary history undiscovered in the history of dinosaurs.

Fun fact: Cloning is the ultimate form of Incest that can happen, the genetic mutations that one person carry’s and also possible diseases with in other problems will be carried over and amplified while cloning. With that a cloned person/animal would have many more genetic problems than the original would have had, which also why human cloning is illegal in all countries of the world.
