HII!! I'm spirithaspossessed. I don't post all that often but when I do it's either art, fandom stuff or something absolutely nonsensical

My main interest is currently pow smp and the creators involved! I may occasionally post about other stuff too when I get fixated

I do a lot of character shipping and frequently post about that stuff. I do not post rpf. Everything is strictly characters and not content creators unless specified otherwise. I'm also a heavy reblogger so be warned half this shit isn't my own thoughts

I'm agender and a lesbian (simplified) but also fall under a few smaller lables (greyaroace, apagender). I'm alright with any pronouns/terms but prefer they/them. I refer to myself with whatever fits the current bit

I play the bass and volleyball and I draw/paint when I'm feeling up to it. My favourite band is muse. These topics may or may not come up lol

Can it be a curse? We don't know about Louis's sire but maybe they also died right after turning Louis and that's why he was fully alone without a coven when Owen met him?

I think I know how this works.

For personal context, before I went to the '98 Burning Man festival, one of the things I'd read from a couple different journalists was that "everybody" runs around naked. Which, fine by me, I'd already spent a lot of time in clothing-optional spaces, I'm not fanatic about it but it's nice.

So I got there early and set up a public shade structure on one of Black Rock City's main roads and spent most of each afternoon just watching the crowds go by. I don't remember seeing more than one actually naked person the whole week. I think a topless woman passed by my intersection maybe every half an hour, sometimes once an hour. So why in the hell were people, normally pretty smart and observant writers, coming away with the impression that everybody was naked?

Then I remembered an unrelated passage from Joel Garreau's great book about the history of the outer-ring suburbs, Edge City. Mall developers told him flat-out that they tried to keep the crowds in their malls less than 5% black. Not because they themselves were racist, but because they had determined, experimentally, that if more than 5% of the people in the mall are black, the median white shopper will wrongly describe the mall as at least half black, as mostly black. And not a few of them would describe it, at 6% black, as a mall where "only black people go." Why?

Because, emotionally, they were still upset over the last one when the next one came into view.

Same as the journalists describing Black Rock City as all naked. Same as the right-wing religious culture warriors describing television as entirely mixed-race and gender non-conforming. Not because it's even vaguely true, we know that, but because they haven't gotten over their discomfort over the last one by the time the next one comes along. The anger, not the stimulus, is the part that's continuous, so their mind lies to them that it's "all" the thing they can't get over.

I know Abolish said he wouldn't be as idgaf implies his god would also be something less dark and such. But also having sillyguy pan!Abolish be the champion of doom and destruction or whatever (I'm not educated enough to guess shit can you tell) would be something he could pull off and it'd be hilarious

I've been keeping track of the hints and character information that the Pantheon SMP cast has given about their characters. here's what I've gathered so far (this definitely isn't everything, so please add any other hints/info in the comments!)

-Apo has tweeted the phrase "Apokuna Champion of _______ ?" twice now, with the space always being 7 letters wide. she's also revealed a few songs from her character playlist (including Time Will Change You by the Crane Wives and Theme V - Credits from Rain World). she has said that her patron god is not super well known, but that there is media out there about them.

-Martyn has consistently said that his character is very hot. he said that he's "gotta get some push ups in!" and other references to his character being very strong/muscular.

-Owen's character uses he/she pronouns. he also said this about his character: "the concept of courtship was never really front and center for her needs". notably, he wore the symbol of Asclepius at the Bannerfall panel as a subtle nod to the SMP (Asclepius is the greek god of medicine and a son of Apollo).

-Sausage has said that his character will have brown eyes. he gave a very vague answer when asked if his character will be evil.

-Pearl has talked about playing a more antagonistic/trickster character in an upcoming SMP.

-Abolish said his character is "a bit different" and "creative and fun", noting that many people were way off about who his god is.

-Scott has said that his character isn't an Olympian.

-Pyro has apparently been dropping many subtle hints, but when asked specifically, he said that his character can read, is not an asshole or a chud, and is depressed "in a way" and wet "in a way" (I don't know what this means either, if you're wondering).

these are all of the hints I have confirmed, but please let me know if I missed anything or if I've misunderstood anything!

I really love it when people write v!Abolish in an apathetic way. Like, I love a v!Abolish that does whatever he needs to do to get the job done or survive. I want him to not care about how many people he hurts as long as it furthers his goals. He’s not going to fight fair, he’s not going to give things to help people for no reason. It’s just something I love and want to see more of (please give fic recs if anyone has any)
