Ariel to Prospero, definitely (via incorrectshakespeare)
“Alessio? That’s a marvelous name.” She said it slowly, weighing the vowels and elongating the ‘s’ in the middle into the slightest hiss. She gave his hand a firm shake and smiled. “Do you really work at the florist? I’m surprised I haven’t seen you there–I’ve been frequenting it a lot lately.”
He grinned as she complimented his name. It was one he had chosen for himself, purely because he liked the sound of it. Alessio Salvia. Airy and light, as if the owner of the name could disappear without warning. It was perfect, he thought. “I’m only in there part-time.” He said. “I really mostly just like being around all the flowers.”
There was something about this man that made Celia feel slightly uncertain, something she couldn’t quite put her finger on. Maybe it was just that he’d caught her in a moment of weakness, but the look in his eyes made her think differently. She nodded, “Allegra, okay. Thank you.” Celia watched as he studied the flowers. “This might be a stupid question, but do you, um, do you know what kind they are?”
He glanced up at the girl and nodded. “They’re alpine lilies. Lillum parvum.” He had learned a lot of the flower names from Allegra and her shop and had done some of his own research on the names of things, as naming things seemed to be important to humans.
‘ is otherworldly worthy enough for a dance? ‘
“I don’t see why not.”
“Oh,” Ileana mumbled in a breathy voice as she gave the man in front of her a nod. She had a job, she was paid but she hadn’t exactly minded if they didn’t pay her or paid her less… as long as she got to do what she liked, the girl was more than happy. Lifting her shoulders into a shrug, she replied, “I’m sorry you have to deal with such employers. Where do you work again?”
He laughed, “No, they’re not bad at all really.” Because they weren’t at all bad to work with and Allegra was one of the nicest people in Verona if he were being honest. “I don’t even need money, really. I work at the florist.” He said, with a grin. “It’s a part-time gig, but it’s still something.” He paused, this was normally where humans introduced themselves to one another. “I’m Alessio, by the way.”
“Come watch the stars with me.”
Alessio blinked at the girl but nodded slowly, something about another person wanting to be outside at night with him was too t e m p t i n g to say no to. “Yes,” he said, “okay. I know the perfect place.”
Callum paused for a moment, taking a deep breath before continuing. “Do you need more clothes? Or a place to sleep, or do you need some food? That’s what I mean.” He was getting confused faster than he was getting frustrated.
Alessio’s eyebrows laced together in confusion. He wasn’t entirely sure why this man was trying to continue to give him things to help him. He was slightly relieved, however, that this meant that the other did not know what he actually was. Alessio was torn at how to move forward here, he did not want the man to think he was some homeless bum living on the streets for he could not accept the man’s help but he did not want to give away just how wrong the other was. “No,” he said, “I’ve been able to get by thus far.”
Celia blushed, embarrassed to be caught. “I don’t do this usually, I promise,” she spoke quickly, tripping over the words, “it’s just that my cousin and I just moved here and I wanted to brighten up our flat, only money’s a bit tight, you know?” She clutched the little pink flower in one hand, and pushed her hair back with the other. “You, um, you mentioned a flower shop?” her words were slower this time, more deliberate. Chewing on the inside of her lip, Celia glanced up, meeting his eyes for the first time.
Alessio looked at the girl, a bit of distrust in his eyes. That was how he looked at most humans nowadays, after all. He had learned through past experience that many of them had motives that were not to be trusted. He didn’t understand what it was like to have to depend on money for survival, he did not understand so much about the human experience, this made him come off as a little unsympathetic sometimes. “It’s right in town,” he said, “Allegra would be able to help you there I’m sure.” He stepped closer to get a better look at the flowers she had picked. “Be sure to keep them in the sunlight as much as possible. And get them in water as soon as you can.”
She let out a small laugh at his relief, but didn’t comment on it.” Well, Welcome to the city, I hope it is treating you good.” She nodded. She never really new what it was like to be new to a place other than school, but she imagined it was fairly hard. “ Have you been to many places yet or have you stayed at home mostly?”
He nodded, “It’s been treating me fairly well so far.” And it had been, as he had managed to get a job quickly, something that was a human custom and was only to keep up his appearances as a human. He had found pockets of nature here and there where he felt most at home. And he knew that whenever the need for socialization arrived all he had to do was step into town. “I’ve been exploring when I get the chance.”
“I was just trying to get a closer look though,” Ileana straightened, her nose scrunching as she cast a glance the flowers she had been meddling with. “Why won’t you get a raise?”
He laughed, “Well, just because a company is doing well doesn’t mean they help their lower employees out. Not that I mind.” He had learned this from some of his coworkers, not that they had taught him exactly but that he had learned to stay fine-tuned to their conversations and complaints, just incase he would learn something important from what they might have to say.
Miranda grinned, dropping the weeds and brushing her hands off on her skirt. “That’s a very wise thing to say. Not very kind to the weeds, though,” she said with a twist of her lips. “They’re just trying to live, like the rest of us. It’s just harder for them, I think.” She held out her hand for him to shake. “Pleased to meet you, wise man. I’m Miranda.”
Alessio shrugged, the problem with weeds was that they choked out the good things. They were the harbingers of death and destruction in the soil. He did not mind insulting such things. “Alessio,” he said, taking the girl’s hand and shaking it. He had seen this human custom many times before. “Pleased to meet you as well.”
“You’re acting all Edward Cullen-ish, and it’s making me uncomfortable.”
Alessio’s eyebrows pulled together in confusion. “I’m not sure what you mean by that.”

remember I have done thee worthy service, told thee no lies, made thee no mistakings, served without grudge or grumblings.
“Don’t pout” // “I can’t control that!”
“But,” he looked at the girl, widening his eyes and drawing out the but in a whine. “Look at these poor things, they’re drooping. We should sell them from vases, I’m telling you, at least then they wouldn’t be cut off from their life source.”
Alessio sighed, standing by Allegra and watching the customer who had been all but outright insulting to the two of them. “If only we could stop people like that from coming in.” He realized he could, feasibly, do that. It would take a lot of energy, though and he could never be sure which people were the ones like that.
“This is the worst idea ever.”
Alessio glanced up at the girl. “No ideas are bad ideas,” he says. Then he reconsiders, “Wait nevermind. You’re right there are bad ideas. But what is so bad about climbing a tree in the woods in the middle of the night? You’re just a bit paranoid, I think.”
“I think I’m sick.”
Alessio pressed his lips together. “Are you sure?” He wasn't entirely knowledgeable when it came to human ailments, so he had no means to help the girl with. “What do you normally do when you’re sick?” He wasn’t entirely sure how urgent it was either. Did this mean that the girl was deteriorating? He couldn’t be sure. He had never experienced it himself.

“You left me.”
“You broke my heart!”
“I don’t love you.”

“I think I accidentally walked into a gay bar.”
“Don’t call me.”
“I won’t call you.”
“Call me.”
“You’re making this harder than it has to be.”
“I’m not breaking up with you.”
“You’re breaking up with me.”
“That’s so cliche.”
“I think I’m sick.”
“I’m a little drunk.”
“Stop making this so hard.”
“Are you following me?”
“There’s no such thing as a sexy bathroom.”
“Stop being a wimp.”
“I’m not ticklish.”
“Stop touching me.”

“Come have a Netflix date with me.”
“Use protection!”
“Do you even hear what you’re saying?”
“Just shut up.”
“I’m not good with small children.”
“If I never teach my kids how to shoot a marshmallow shooter, I have failed as a parent.”
“I’m pretty sure that’s my shirt.”
“We could always just make out?”
“I have a date with an ice cream carton and on demand movies.”
“Give me a chance. Or at least like, half a chance.”
“You’re acting all Edward Cullen-ish, and it’s making me uncomfortable.”
“We could always play truth or dare?”
“You’re on a roll tonight, aren’t you?”
“You’re a problem.”
“I’d be so content with never seeing you again.”
“I think I saw you in a dream once.”
“If I had to choose between talking to you and having to eat a cup of screws, I’d probably still go with the screws.”
“I didn’t mean to break it.”
“I don’t know, but I probably had sex with him/her.”
“Stop being a judgy asshole.”
“I can’t control that!”
“This was a natural response.”
