Light novel 5 is so densely packed with a crazy range of great (and cringy) interactions between Maomao and Jinshi.

My favorite scene is in chapter 9. Like what the hell is this domestic fluff??

Waddaya mean Jinshi lied down on Maomao's bed and she just casually stroked his hair???? For no reason at all??? Waddaya mean she put his makeup on her own face and pulled silly faces at him until his stomach hurts from laughing too much??? Waddaya mean she kept thinking about how nice he smells and how lovely his voice is??? Oh wait, she does that all the time. Waddaya he relaxed as she cleaned his face because it was warm and comforting???

They were joking around! Having casual conversations! Playing together! Resting on the same bed! Having gentle physical contact! And yet Maomao keeps on insisting their social gap is an issue?? She doesn't realize that he's easily her friend and something more intimate than that? When she interacts with him like THIS without a second thought??
