I had these stuffed in my files and had neglected to acknowledge their existence, guess right now is the perfect time to release them. They are my guilty pleasure. ❤️

I had two other characters I wanted to include, but hadn't finished the coloring phase. Maybe that'll be my next post.

Ain't she just a Splendid Engine?

She did take me a bit to come up with her design, but I think she turned out lovely, I really wanted to try short hair on her and I think it turned out clean and cute! 💖

(Now I gotta work on the main engines, when I can🥱)

Bonus: some concept designs, not too much info at the moment but for humanized Lady, I'd like to think she's an "Angelic Guardian" who's role is to seek over Sodor but stays shady and rarely appears. Wonder what and interaction with Thomas would be like?🤔

I found a way around an issue with my drawing tablet not registering small movements and now it's finally easier to do smaller details <3 unfortunately my SNIFFLES made it hard to draw!!!!! Just a couple of engines chatting. One rants about his achievements while his colleague listens without interruption. 😌

I'd like to think this takes place in their early years where they finally meet. Gordon would first see Henry as a gain to his reputation. (The biggest engines have to stick together after all.) While Henry sees Gordon as a independent guy who works hard and has family issues. But he doesn't mind.

HENRY'S FOREST (HAPPY 3/3 DAY!)

My new favourite day of the year, 3/3! Also known as... HENRY DAY! Since Henry is literally my favourite character in TTTE and peak blorbo, I had to draw something for this day. And that something was my favourite episode of the whole show - Henry's Forest. Yes, I'm aware of the controversaries surrounding it, I just don't care. This episode was fundamental to developing Henry's character beyond 'Gordon But Green', and never fails to get me emotional every time I watch it.

While I will readily admit that the reason why I love him so much is partially due to autism (TTTE is the current 'special interest' so of course my fav from it is the NO.1 FAVOURITE EVER right now), I still adore him. From the arrogant grump overcoming his physical struggles in the earliest seasons, to a soft-spoken and anxious gentle giant in the CGI series, I love every incarnation of him. Also, he's painted in green which is my favourite colour. You'd almost think he was designed specifically for me and me alone to love him.

Regardless of anything else, I love Henry and will absolutely kill for him if I had to. (And we're all going to ignore the fact that I didn't put any ballast or anything like that underneath the rails, okay?)

WHY THANK YOU FOR ASKING

So my biggest inspiration for Henry’s design, specifically his old shape, was both the lore of his model and Gordon’s design

Henry is a failed Gresley model while Gordon is a successful one, so I made it a point to make their designs similar as a reference to them always getting compared to each other

But while Gordon looks grand and confident in his shape, Henry is frail and unkept, with his clothes oversized and his hair a mess

But when Henry gets his new shape, not only does he look like a different engine, he’s now his own engine

He has his own look and style to him and he doesn’t need to be compared to Gordon anymore

Henry's slick back hair reminds me of my lore with the two. 🤫💚
