My proper scanned entry for Ohuhu’s 10th Anniversary contest: “Then & Now: Recreate In Color”!

I was very busy that week and only just barely had time to finish my entry (despite starting it aaaaages ago) and take a photo of it in order to submit it.

Colour correcting everything after my scanner blows it out takes a decent amount of time, and I really didn't have a chance to until now haha.

That being said, I'm very happy with the results. I love the colours, I love how bright and vibrant it is, and I love how much it encourages me to continue my craft, so someday I can look back again and see once more just how far I've come!

I love art!!

Last minute entry for Ohuhu's 10th Anniversary contest: "Then & Now: Recreate In Color"

I decided to recreate another piece from my teenaged years (which I love doing) and go maximum BLAST with the colours. (which I also love doing)

I'll scan this properly later, but I got called into work early so I had to upload it as is to meet the deadline.

Then I can yap more about my process and how I started this a month ago and have had it laying on my desk 85% finished for weeks haha.....

I had planned on revising my old character sheets and making some new ones, but I guess that's not happening anytime soon lol.

Not as much of a mess as the last piece, but I ripped the paper when I was taking my painters tape off auuuuuuuuuuuuuuuugh.

Good thing I can hide that with photoshop....

I've really been wanting to make more time for traditional art lately, so I decided to strong arm myself into doing some looser, less polished pieces.

This one was a big fucking mess of paint and frustration for quite a few days as I made the same mistake with my stamp ink over and over, but hey, I got there in the end and I rather like how it turned out, and that's the whole point, so yippee to that.

Still not too keen on the results with the scanner, but taking a photo wasn't ideal either.

The eternal struggle....

A commissioned piece for my buddy, featuring his OC Magnus.

I pretty much got free reign of this piece, and I really enjoyed working on it.

I think it turned out great, and I love the colour pallet.

What an excellent (and fun) art exercise this was.
