In this tutorial we're going through how to set up a displacement map in maya, generated in ZBrush in an accurate manner.

Creating Blendshape Head bridge from a single mesh
Through trial and error..Here we go.
1. Select Original Geometry
2. >Freeze Transforms, >Delete History
3. Select Faces for head.
4. Mesh> Extract
5. Select Separated Head.
6. Duplicate Separated Head
7. Center Pivot
8. Drag Duplicated Head to the side (Do Not Delete History or Freeze Transforms)
9. Rename Duplicate Head (Head_Bridge..etc)
10. Select original head THEN original body.
11. Mesh> Combine
12. Select border verts from where neck and head were just joined (The verts are not merged yet)
13. Edit Mesh> Merge (default settings should work, can adjust settings in channel box after if not)
14. Select the newly unified mesh
15. Normals> Soften Edge
16. Delete History and Freeze Transforms on unified mesh. Rename to whatever_body_Geo.
17. Select _Bridge mesh THEN select body_geo mesh
18. Create Blendshape >Options
19. Name Bridge Shape (EX: head_Bridge_BS)
20. Basic> Uncheck “Check topology”, Advanced> Deformation Order: Front of Chain.
21. Apply
22. Select Body_Geo, Channel Box > Inputs> head_Bridge to “1″
Seperate Head Bridge Blendshape
Separate Head
Bridge blendshapes should always be created before skinning.
Delete History/ Freeze Transforms
Select definition edge loop
Edit Mesh> Detach component
Mesh>Separate
Duplicate head
Drag Duplicate head aside
(DO NOT FREEZE TRANSFORMS)
Select original Head
Select original Body
Mesh>Combine
Delete History
Select Bridge Head BS
Select original Geo
Create BS> Options
Turn off check topology
ADV>Turn on front of chain
Vray Maya -> AE Simple Additive Comp Order
