I was just reading this fic and it was fantastic up until the epilogue when it suddenly went second person.
I don’t want to be in it, leave me outside the narrative. I’m perfectly content.

oops my hand slipped and I made a man after writing about him for too long.
His name is Cyrille Montembrumé, from what he's learned growing up as ward to a minor lord, he's the only remaining member of a clan of Coerthan Duskwights who vowed to fight for the Holy See in exchange for land of their own in the eastern highlands shortly after the Dragonsong War first broke out.
Now though, he's no longer a squire and has left Ishgard to undergo a period of knight errancy to learn more about the world before he retakes his clan's vow.
I’ve been getting this new artist recommended to me a bunch lately and I’m not entirely sure I trust this “The Vampire Lestat” chap. He seems a bit dedicated to this fake mythos he’s built around himself and frankly, it’s all a bit preposterous.
And really, Vampires? In 2026? Please. We know who the real bloodsuckers are now.
okay judgemental free zone here because I’m genuinely curious: how much of supernatural have y'all ACTUALLY watched
So I made up a fake middle school for plot reasons in one of the books I'm working on, but then I ended up on one of those school ranking websites, and... it's a real private school, like 20 minutes away from where it exists in my book and teaching pre-k to grade 8.
I will not be using this information in any productive way.
Akigane says it's light party + Musashi picture day, but he wanted to be in all the pictures.

but like, I'm literally a week out from finally graduating uni but I have been trapped in a mire because I chose to take sports pr and I hate sports so goddamn much.
I put myself here, but holy hell, how much do I wish fashion pr had been offered at any point these last two years instead.
naughty rhythm section boys must go to the light cages.
I just saw the username of one of my old favorite fic authors and media analysts from high school on AO3 in a completely different fandom than I knew them from.
What an incredibly weird sensation. I think I have a headache now.
This week on "Things That Are Only Annoying Because of Your Specific Hobby Niches"
I've been reading this series and every time the author describes a male character's cologne they always say he "smelled of chypre" and it yanks me out every time. How is there only one men's cologne in depression-era noir LA? Like, if you want to just vaguely name a scent family with a noticeable profile, this is peak fougère time and honestly at least one of these dudes should just smell like a barber shop.
can you reblog and tell me which of your ocs has the stupidest name
I was playing Elden Ring, as I do, and during a particularly delightful boss fight I found something that made it just that much better.
This boss fight draws from a pool of players that have interacted with a specific character to populate builds and someone’s made an extremely good Raubhan.
He bodied me the fastest of any of the boss phases and I was delighted the whole time.
You know, I don't think as a fandom we explore what being a Dragoon WoL means the same way we do like, Dark Knight.
Because the Eye of Nidhogg resonants with the WoL when they met Estinien for the first time. The Eye that (iirc) only 'chooses' very specific kind of peoole for Azure Dragoon - If Estinien and to a lesser degree Alberic is anything to go by. Vengeful, angry people. People who have been hurt and are seeking revenge for it.
Personally, I'm of the headcannon that this is because Nidhogg (able to sense where his eye is and kinda feel things through it? Maybe even see through it) is trying to get those people worked up enough to possess them. Like with Estinien during the DRG 50 duty.
So what does it mean for a WoL who is also a Dragoon? Who has done that series of quests and had the Eye look at them and go:
"Ah yes. You. You too feel hatred and rage and pain enough that you could easily lose yourself over it. You want revenge for something, vengence. You want to make someone or something else hurt just as much as you do right now."
Idk I just think it's interesting and feel like I don't see it very much for WoL meta.
Z'chael is pleased with his cake.
Do you recognize this TV theme song? #318
I know this and can name the series
I know this but can't name the series
I might know this
I've never heard this
If you had to get a tattoo from the last show you watched, what would it be?
So I very recently went on a tear trying to find some world building for a book that I knew I had written digging through my old manuscripts to try and find any mention of these characters to see which all culminated into my getting distracted by finding the Naruto fanfic I wrote with one of my high school best friends.
But I found my world building! Writer’s block on that work has set in again so finding it was no help. BUT I FOUND IT!
It was a file on my google docs, a file that was quite literally labeled with the name of one of the main characters.
