Napoléon and Napoléon III paralleled to Michael Jackson and Jaafar Jackson.... there's more resemblance here than meet the eye ...
So you see, Napoleon was reknown not only for his war campaign but also being overall a powerful force in Europe, conquering territories and the people's favor, that is true until the collapse of his Empire, whom he had titled himself Emperor of in the first place, now let's keep in mind the fact that he was originally from a military background so, lower status AND Croatian, he was not meant to be leading France at all, and the collapse of his was not only because he was deemed to have failed his people, but also because of his opponents Empires and regimes that had allied against him.
Now on the other hand we have Michael Jackson, a young Black American man who's music, dancing and overall prestence, dare i say aura were what conquered the people's heart, and far more than the war waged by Napoleon, giving him the title of Prince of Pop, but not only on that aspect was he powerful, he also gained more and more power in the industry from tactical marketing to owning about 50 percent of Unoversal's share and profit, that is until the eventual 'fall' of his own empire when the people who had already prayed on him allied forces, lawyers, organisations, rich people that could benefit off his fall and entreprises.
Though one thing is for sure, both have left an image behind to their name, and a strong one
Napoleon III was the (almost) direct successor to power after his uncle, that is because Napoleon II, his son had died at the age of 21 without having any children of his own and never governing, it was however Louis XVIII and Charles X who governed until the revolts that led to presidential elections where Napoleon III was eventually elected, and during his reign, because he had imbued himself unto bringing back the lost empire of his uncle, he had chosen to impose a more 'pallatable' reign' by deciding to form a 'peace' with the other European nations whilst conquering other territories outside the European zone (aka colonies).
The parallel here with Jaafar comes from the fact that he, himself, walks through the steps of his uncle, wanting to succeed in his empire that once was, but not only is he doing all this in a way that is more pallatable to the fanbase, as Michael Jackson's daughter and sister have claimed, but he also ignored many of the people from Michael Jackson's surrounding in this movie, and finally he chose to make it a marketing campaign, not a way to honour his memories or his fights, which, in itself, is a way to 'make peace' with these rich and otherwise powerful people/companies
