Week review of Arrow, LoT and Flash

This was such a good week holy fucking shit.

The first episode I watched was the Flash and so far I’m in love with Ralph, I was really sad when I heard about Wally leaving since I really loved him as a character and his dynamic with the other characters but I’m loving the dynamic with Ralph and Barry. The council of Wells storyline wasn’t really my favourite storyline but tbh anytime that we get any interaction with Cisco and Harry I just love it so much. Not going to lie, I haven’t really enjoyed the whole “one Wells each season” thing so I like that they’re so far with sticking to Harry since he’s my favourite Wells. I feel like this year, the writers have really noticed what the fans haven’t liked about the past season, speedster villains and new Wells etc. The only thing that I’m really annoyed with is that “run, Barry, run” is getting so over used, it used to give such a big effect to what ever was happening but now it has just been to over used. I really liked the episode but it wasn’t one of my faves this season, I give it a solid 8.5

Legends was so funny this week. Legends is my favourite show out of all of the shows that I watch just because it knows that it’s a silly show and it can really do anything which really showed this week. The whole freaky friday situation was so funny and I can just imagine how much fun that must be to act out. I didn’t really care that much about the other storylines tbh, it wasn’t anything special but the episode overall was very good. Nate this season is so fucking incredible, last season I didn’t really care for him but now he’s one of my favourite characters on legends (no one can take Sarah’s and Rory’s place). Also can we just take a moment to appreciate how much better Damien Dhark is on Legends than on Arrow, I hated him on Arrow but I love him sm on Legends. Overall a solid episode, 8.

Arrow was so good holy fucking shit. This was my favourite episode of this season and possibly of all time on Arrow. The episode had everything that I could want, Slade has always been one of my favourite characters and I really liked his flashbacks to more understand his character, I loved the relationship between him and his son. I also loved that we got to see some of that pure John and Lylah relationship. It’s probably the only stable relationship across the arrowverse and they have always been my favourite couple. I’ve been worried that Dinah and John were going to become a thing but I’m so happy that they brought back Lylah. They also had an Olicity scene that didn’t make me want to poke my eyes out which was great. I’ve finally started shipping Olicity this season, it makes so much more sense this time, I really hated them before because it felt so forced and unnatural and now I just like them so much more, I am also loving the relationship between William and Felicity. I am loving how much time they are spending on Diggle being Arrow since it felt from the beginning that it was going to be a very rushed thing but I want Diggle out of that costume so that he can just be with his family cause he seems so broken in it. This was my favourite episode of this whole season so i’ll give it a solid 9.5

Stranger Things season 2 review *Spoilers*

So I just finished the entire stranger things series in one weekend (I know that I’m late to the party okay) Here are just some thoughts I had during it.

I loved Eleven’s story arch this season (except for one part which I will get to later). I loved the relationship she had with Hopper, it really felt true and authentic, I liked that she didn’t really interact with the other kids since she’s basically an alien and hasn’t had much interaction with other people before.

I really loved Max and the “love triangle” that was happening, from the start though, I was a huge “Mucas” shipper, Dustins crush on her was cute but Lucas was just better for Max in my opinion, Lucas is a character that really wasn’t in the first season that much, he was just in the background all of the time so to see him get a storyline was really nice to watch.

With the whole Nancy/Steve/Jonathan relationship I did feel like Nancy chose right seeing as how Steve was in the beginning of the season. Last season I felt that Nancy really came in to herself and came to a good place of self discovery where she knew who she was and she needed someone who was more comfortable with themself and Jonathan was a better fit because Steve really didn’t. Steve had no idea who he was in the beginning of this season but I really felt that he at least started a journey towards self discovery which was incredible to watch

Don’t even get me started on the Steve/Dustin storyline, it was perfect in so many different ways, it just worked so well.

Other than Max, I honestly didn’t care too much for the new characters, Bill was just a very stereotypical bad guy, Bob was one of the better new people but I don’t seem to love him AS much as the internet does, he was a very good character though. The weird creepy detective (can’t think of his name rn) wasn’t relevant at all to me, he just felt extremely unnecessary and 8 wasn’t really that great either.

The one episode that I could have lived without is definitely episode 7, I really tried to like it and I love the idea of Eleven rebelling and going out to find herself but it was just poorly done. I love Eights powers and I think they would have been cool to see but we didn’t need to see them. The fact that it’s such a standalone episode makes it weird, it would have been much better if it was just another subplot over two, maybe three episodes.

Overall it was a great season with just a few bad parts. My rating for this season is a solid 8.5 

Next season I would love to see more of how Will is dealing with everything he’s been through over the last two years. I can’t wait for the kids to start high school and see them go through that. I also really want to see more of Max and see how her relationship with Lucas works out, I would also really like to see her interact more with Eleven.

I started this blog because I’m a huge nerd who get too excited about TV shows and movies and I always want to talk about them but my friends don’t watch the same shows as me.

I don’t live in the US so I can’t follow the shows that well but the shows I do follow are Riverdale and the Arrowverse shows (-supergirl) and I’m currently catching up on season 4 of How to get away with murder.

This blog is mainly for me to talk about the shows and movies that I love without having to worry about spoiling anyone.

Also I’m currently obsessed with Stranger Things and the fact that we have to wait a year for the next season is awful
