O Allah, put barakah in my time.
Some years Ramadan brings an instant stillness. This year, for me, it brought something harder to name; a quiet restlessness in the soul that I can't quite shake.
But I've come to believe that Ramadan isn't always about the feeling. Sometimes it's just the reaching. Turning toward Allah even when the warmth isn't there yet.
If you're feeling this too, know you're not alone. May Allah softens our hearts, settles what is unsettled and forgives what weighs on us...
Allāhumma innī a`ūdhu biriḍāka min sakhaṭik, wa bimu`āfātika min `uqūbatik, wa a`ūdhu bika mink, lā uḥṣī thanā'an `alayk, Anta kamā athnayta `alā nafsik O Allah, I seek refuge with Your Pleasure from Your anger. I seek refuge in Your forgiveness from Your punishment. I seek refuge in You from You. I cannot count Your praises, You are as You have praised Yourself
“Once you make a decision, put your trust in Allah. Surely Allah loves those who trust in Him.”
{3:159}
Ya Rabb, cleanse my heart from seeking comfort in people. Do not let their approval define my worth, nor their absence shake my faith. Anchor my heart in You alone, for only what is tied to You can truly rest...
Oh Allah, grant me something more beautiful than I wished for, more than I expected, and better than what I prayed for.
A person turns 30 and is called "old."
Another dies at 30 and is called "young."
This is the dunya — full of noise, contradiction, and fleeting opinions. But you? You weren’t created to chase timelines or please people. You were created for something greater — the akhirah. Run your race, not theirs. Because no matter what you do, people will measure you through the lens of their own fears and limits.
But Allah sees your heart, your tears, your efforts — and He judges with mercy and wisdom. Their definition of "too late" means nothing to the One who created time.
You are not behind. You are not ahead.
You are exactly where Allah has willed you to be.So keep walking — with sabr in your steps and tawakkul in your chest. This life is not a competition. It’s a test. And your journey is sacred, even if no one else understands it. It’s between you and Allah. And that’s more than enough.

Tawakkul isn’t just trusting Allah after doing your part, it’s a gentle surrender of the heart. It means knowing, deep in your soul, that no matter how uncertain things seem, your Lord never leaves you without care.
Sometimes, life feels blurry and heavy. You plan, you try, you pray… and still, you’re unsure. But that’s exactly where tawakkul blooms, in the quiet moments when you whisper “Ya Allah, I leave it in Your hands,” and you feel a calm wash over you.
Breathe. Do your best. Leave the rest with Him and watch how your story unfolds beautifully, by His mercy.
Unlearning people-pleasing. Unlearning the guilt of prioritizing myself. Unlearning believing anxious thoughts. Unlearning the instinct to fix what isn’t mine to fix. Unlearning attachment to outcomes. Unlearning the patterns that keep me small.
“I know people always talk about love like it’s a realization you have one day - a sudden moment of clarity where you realize you’ve been slowly falling in love with that person for days or weeks or months. People talk like it isn’t really falling at all, but instead, a gentle recognition that you’ve already hit the ground.”
— Julie Johnson, Like Gravity
Someone having your back and motivating you is a blessing.
"ومن أعجب النعم نعمة النسيان، فإنه لولا النسيان لما سلا شيء، ولا انقضت له حسرة، ولا تعزّى عن مصيبة، ولا مات له حزن!
- ابن القيم"
"One of the most remarkable blessings is the blessing of forgetfulness, for if it were not for forgetfulness, no sorrow would ever end, no grief would be consoled, and no sadness would die!
- Ibn al-Qayyim"
“If you expect honesty, be honest. If you expect forgiveness, forgive. If you expect a whole person, you have to be a whole person.”
