i love when someone confirms we're friends
Lol Mark Fuhrman died this year. What a fucking moron he was so racist he fucked up the investigation into OJ and then later on his racism is bought into account to show how unreliable he is as a Investigator and then Fox News decided to give this moron who bungled the case with his racism a career which I guess makes sense as that was probably something they felt a kinship in.

I sincerely think anyone who doesn't believe in the presumption of innocence deserves to face ironic consequences.
Anyone who believes in Guilty until proven Innocent and the idea you should be able to convict someone based on testimony alone deserves to feel what that's like. I mean genuinely I wonder what it would be like to see that type of person trying to clear their name of something they know they didn't do and there's been no evidence to connect them but hey you know the nature of the allegation is so horrific and graphic so I guess a Jury has to convict.
If an individual has no evidence against them of wrong doing because the Police and the FBI had investigated them for years on end then you cannot be an "Apologist" for them you can only be someone who is defending the truth.
Although if you still believe they are guilty based on "Vibes" and the nature of the Accusations then you are actually just an apologist for irrational thought and the perfect type of person to become part of a Witchhunt or a Lynch Mob.
Not to sound like a broken record but does it make anyone else viscerally angry how we realized in the very recent past that we can successfully eradicate devastating human-specific diseases (smallpox) yet now there's a million people telling you not to vaccinate your kids against measles. I know I know "everyone will not just" but also for real we could never have measles again if everyone would just be cool
Repeat after me : during the 90s WHO had estimated measles would be eradicated by 2020
No more measles. Eradicated. Forever.
Viscerally angry? Talk about being absolutely furious every fucking second of every fucking day.
New Pokemon character idea: old women NPC on a bench feeding Pidgey. Upon trying to talk to her you are instantly thrown into a battle where she has a team comprised entirely of level 100 early-route birds all holding leftovers

It is easy to forget just how central military violence has been and remains to business as usual. More than 5 per cent of annual CO2 emissions stem from the militaries around the world. We often talk about flying and how bad it is for the climate, and it is bad, but civil aviation accounts for about 3 per cent of the total. And the 5 per cent that comes from militaries precede actual war: these are peacetime emissions, made in the process of maintaining the logistical apparatuses and fighting capacities of armies before they go to war. When they do go into battle, the fuel is set on fire and the bombs rain down in bursts of concentrated additional emissions. The US, of course, is at the centre of all this. The emissions from the occupation army during the war on Gaza might be counted as just another category of American emissions. The US outweighs every other country; indeed, as Neta C. Crawford notes, 'the US military is the single largest institutional fossil fuel user in the world and thus the world's single largest greenhouse gas emitter In her book The Pentagon, Climate Change, and War, she brilliantly charts the development of what she calls 'the deep cycle' The militaries of first the UK and then the US found coal, followed by oil, to be indispensable for waging war: for manufacturing weapons, transporting soldiers into the battlefield, providing mobility once engaged, bringing firepower to bear on the enemy. By basing its operations on fossil fuels, the US military contributed to their spread throughout the economy; and when both the military and economy were thoroughly dependent on them, the protection of this essential commodity itself became an imperative of war. No part of the world has been so deeply formed and scarred by this cycle as the Middle East. Although Palestine is at its centre, the devastation clearly extends to other countries too: think only of Iraq and Yemen.
— The Destruction of Palestine is The Destruction of the Earth, Andreas Malm
nothing is real and then all of a sudden everything is very real with no warning
the thing about nothing ever going my way is that if one day it does I will be so so scared
It's incredible how all of the censorship on the modern internet doesn't actually seem to be making society kinder or more wholesome hmm maybe there's a lesson in this
