MADDIE SAM JAZZ AND VALERIE (we were robbed of valerie in girls night out episode 🔪)
"I still think you should try and expand the room inside the thermos," Jazz said from her seat at the kitchen table, rolling a lug nut absentmindedly with her finger.
"And I still think that's a dumb idea." Valerie's voice was muffled by the screw she was currently holding in her mouth. She switched the screwdriver to her off hand, the other screw securely in place, and removed the one in her mouth. She had it in position on her hoverboard, which was laying across her lap, before she continued. "It's not like the thermos being a tight squeeze hurts them. They're ghosts; they can handle a bit of claustrophobia."
"Just because they're ghosts doesn't mean we can ignore their psychological needs!" Jazz protested. "In fact, research shows that a ghost's psychological health is arguably more important then their physical!"
"That's because a ghost's form is connected to their perception of themself and the world around them," Maddie said, not looking up from the pile of parts that had been the Fenton Thermos only an hour ago. "If you hurt their psyche, you hurt their body. Could you pass me the laser cutter, sweetie?"
Jazz handed the tool over. "Which is just another reason that we should focus on trying to make the thermos better for the ghost's mental health!"
"I don't know, Jazz," Sam said. "I think it'd be a lot less funny to soup Danny if the thermos was spacious."
"Sam, we've talked about this," Maddie said, lowering her goggles and switching on the laser cutter. "Don't talk about putting Danny in the thermos."
"Yea, Sam," Valerie said. "If she can hear you talking about it, she'll have to do something about it."
Sam and Valerie snickered as Maddie sat the tool to the side to cast a glare at Valerie. "Valerie!"
"I don't see you denying it, Mrs. F!" Sam said.
"I just didn't think I needed to," Maddie said. The smile on her face was a much more honest answer.
Jazz sighed and shook her head. "Sometimes it feels like I'm the only one who cares about Danny's health."
