THE GHOST DOG OF WOODLAND CEMETERY

MAN’S BEST FRIEND, EVEN AFTER THE END…

A sad story, but a kind story, Johnny Morehouse was playing with his dog around the edge of a river, unfortunately he slipped and fell in the river, drowning.

When the child was buried in Woodland Cemetery, the dog was so distraught he lie down on the grave and would not leave.  Eventually the dog too passed away.  A tombstone was later made honoring the bond between John and his dog.

Someone would later vandalize the tombstone by cutting off the head of John’s dog.

Now the ghost of John and his dog can be found wandering Woodland cemetery and barking can be heard coming from the tombstone.

It is also tradition to leave toys on the grave in honor of Johnny.

Woodland Cemetery can be found in Dayton, Ohio, and don’t worry, Johnny and his dog are only two of many ghosts which wander the cemetery, this place will show up again.

Smiley’s family grave at Garland Mills Cemetery. This family, according to urban myth, was murdered by their son. In reality, they died from a tornado on the same day and their 5 year old boy was the only survivor.

This is a recording of our EVP caught at Pecan Grove.

These Polaroid photos were taken at Pecan Grove Cemetery. This cemetery is joined in with two other cemeteries, one of which was a colored only cemetery during segregation. Many investigators go to these cemeteries in order to try and obtain sightings or recordings. On the top photo, we were able to catch three light orbs that may be paranormal. There was no wind that day. We were also able to catch at least one EVP! Please stay tuned for more.

Some shots from my recent expedition to the Glenbuelah cemetery, a place that many seem to regard as the most haunted cemetery in Wisconsin. According to local lore, a man hanged himself from a tree here, but the force of the fall tore his head clean off and sent it rolling down the hill into town.

HELLTOWN

OHIO’S SILENT HILL…

At least that’s what many people called it.  A town deep in the woods of Boston Township, located in Summit County, OH. A town complete with everything good horror stories are made of. A cemetery with a ghost girl, disembodied laughter, satanic cults, a satanist church, cryptids, ghosts, an abandoned slaughterhouse where faces can be seen starring out of the window, a hearse that chases explorers away, a crybaby bridge and last but not least a haunted abandoned school bus.

But what really happened here? Why was the town abandoned? 

LEGEND

There are two legends I have heard about the abandonment of this town. The first legend is that there was a chemical spill, causing residents to be evacuated or mutated. The second, was that cultists forced residents to move out.

TRUTH

The truth isn’t all that interesting, a nearby government owned nature preserve wanted the land, and ended out buying people out of their property. From what I’ve heard, some residents weren’t to happy about this, some of the owners may have felt pressured to leave. 

PRESENT DAY

If you’re looking to visit this place, I’m sorry to tell you it’s been torn down. The nature preserve let the property sit abandoned for years, but recently decided to finish up their plans for the property and tore down almost everything.  The only thing that remains is the cemetery, which lies near peninsula, Ohio, a few miles away. I believe the church is also still standing. 

CLARIFICATIONS 

If there is a haunted school bus not many explorers have found it. The only reason the church has been labeled satanic is because of it’s upside-down cross in the doorway. As many of you may know the upside-down cross is also used in Catholicism, as a remembrance of the martyrdom of St. Peter, who was crucified upside-down. This is a Catholic church.

MY EXPERIENCE

My gf and I went a few years back, a lot of properties had been torn down already, it was pretty but, underwhelming considering most of the town was gone at this point. We did have one strange experience though. While walking, my gf had her music playing on her phone, after one song played it switched to another song, but during this song it stopped suddenly and switched back to the song that had previously played. Was it a ghost or a glitch? I dunno.

EVP’s have been caught in the area but other than that, hauntings aren’t usually common here.
