me when someone asks whatâs wrong with me: are u ready
If your ADHD is causing you to fuck up more, it doesnât necessarily mean that the ADHD is getting worse.. you could just be doing more things which gives you more opportunity to fuck up.
This is one of the reasons, ADHD can get âworseâ as an adult. A child has very few responsibilities. An adult on the other hand, has all kinds of opportunities to fuck up on.Â
Goes for other disabilities too. Sometimes it seems like itâs âgetting worseâ when whatâs really happening is that circumstances have changed in a way that makes the symptoms more obvious and detrimental.Â
VERY important advice. Donât beat yourself up. Adulting is HARD.
When you're in a horrendous amount of pain so you're hypersensitive

being diagnosed later in life is like watching a tv show with a huge plot twist revealed at the end of a season, and then rewatching it with this new knowledge, picking up on all the foreshadowing, and getting upset that you didnât see all of it before

Some times I get tired of being the ânice disabled personâ. âcurb cutouts make things much easier for moms with strollers.â I donât care. Mobility impaired people literally canât get off the sidewalk without them. âCaptions are great for kids who are learning to read.â Yeah, and they are also a necessity for deaf people. hereâs my hot take. Disabled people should not have to frame accessibility in a way that helps abled people to get the accommodations they need to live a decent life. /end ID]
being aware of the impact of things we can often not think about (like straws) is important if weâre to make strides on environmental preservationÂ
that does not eclipse the importance of being aware of how it impacts disabled people. theyâre both conversations we need to have
tumblr is the only social media site where itâs completely useless to have a lot of followers

Doctor: itâs probably just growing pains
Me, a 21 year old, who stopped growing 7 years ago:

All my life it was âgrowing painsâ; at some point I stopped growing but the pain didnât.
