I had a quick Inky Mystery thought or Theory. Not sure what to call it.
I think one of reasons Goofy died on the first ink attack was from the population’s morale. We know that one of the reason’s the ink illness can spread is through knowledge and can make someone succumb faster to the ink illness due to bad mental state. I want to also think that the illness can become more deadly and severe through a population’s negativity.
Example, a positive person who has an amazing outlook on life, great family and friends. However the surrounding society/population/world is in panic, sorrow, and fear from the ink illness. When the person gets the ink illness, these outside factors would fuel the person’s ink illness to become more severe causing them to succumb to the illness quicker. The illness doesn’t only feed off of the individual’s moral but the society’s overall morale too.
I think outside factors can make someone become an ink puddle faster even if they are in high spirits. Of course personal mental state is still important to how long someone is to survive with the ink illness. But with the growing rate of fear from the ink illness, it’ll make it harder last longer with the illness with just positivity and good mental health.
(Or it could just be the severity of ink illness symptoms are different for everyone. You never know when an attack is coming and if it’s going to be the last.)
Walking home after some shopping…at the very least attempting to. The two mechanics got a little distracted.
