ppl always portray hollyleaf as like really skilled n sneaky when she kills ashfur, like some kind of hired assassin or something, and that’s cool an all like as she deserves but i think. i think that the scene would carry more weight if you remember that she was far younger than ashfur, far less experienced, probably smaller, and like she has never killed anyone before she doesn’t have any idea what she’s doing. also she’s scared out of her mind. like she hates ashfur but she’s also afraid of him. like the fight was probably messy and awful. and ashfur’s death was probably slow and painful. i just like imagine that hollyleaf is struggling to kill him and almost starting to regret it halfway through but it’s too late and ugh like it really fucked her up so. it was probably awful.
