Just because someone slows down doesn't mean they are not interested anymore!
I have seen anxiety-inducing posts about partners drifting apart and having lost interest when not interacting, but real life happens fam. Yes, when we are low on brain juice, we choose to reply to threads that appeal the most to us at that time to not get swamped in threads too much.
But we REALLY need to stop assuming the worst about our partner right away when our thread is not among the few chosen ones and takes longer to get replied to.
Maybe your partner wants to tend to your reply when they feel less tired, to give you the best they can do? Work and private stress can also take a while to subdue, so please be patient with your partner and don't just softblock because your brain assumes only bad things.
Sometimes we are in a bad place ourselves and need to step back a bit instead of projecting our own insecurities onto our partners in these moments. And taking time for yourself is perfectly okay. Being chronically online is not healthy in the long run.

He is offering? And good at finding food? He did not want to eat the Centipede anyway but who was he to lose such an opportunity? Not many animals were willing to give him food after all!
"Really? Ya would? Oooooh, I love food! We should go and find food - maybe something chewy like - elephant ears?"

The spooky place with no daddy, huh? That rings a little too close to home......
"A-A'right, a'right, uhh...... Are ya...supposed ta' be here...?"
"Nuh-huh!" He quickly shakes his head rather violently - something inside rattling as he does so. He shouldn't be where the spooky place is. Who would want to be here?
"Pa." That's where he is supposed to be!

Uh-oh. Lonely kid.
Curse his stupid soft soul.
"............Ya good, kid?"
No!!! Nothing is good!!
That lion said he is gonna bring him home but he is back at the spooky place with no daddy!! So he's just whining!!
"Khm," Simba cleared his throat, implying he could hear everything well. "I am not a thing, I happen to be the king of the Pridelands." The lion said authoritatively, his tone inducing respect. "Aaaand," he continued, "It is me who has brought this hyena cub back because he got lost in the Pridelands."
The journey seemed to come to an end. By Nne appearing, Simba was glad he didn't have to enter the Outlands. He wouldn't have liked to do it, but he wouldn't have had the heart to just let Cheezi go alone either. So this meeting was just right.
"You should keep your eyes on him better," he quipped, then looked back at the hyena cub. "See Cheezi? You are home. Join your fellow, because our paths are diverging now," said the lion in a neutral voice.
Large weight lifted off his shoulders that the hyena cub got home safely. If he hadn't taken him home this way, the hyenas would have surely started a war against the Pridelands. And Simba didn't want it. So he did it not only for Cheezi, but for his kingdom as well - as king it was his responsibility to protect his people...

“Titles don’t matter.”
Nne scoffs in response. This lion was NOT king. That was Scar. How is it fair that once this guy returns that everyone had to just go?! It wasn’t! Worst of all, no other adult hyena was around because everyone else was either dead or abandoned them!
“I SHOULD keep an eye on him better?!!” Nne snaps. “This IMBECILE is not my responsbility!”
He is just a cub too!! Why should he play the babysitter?! It wasn't his job to look after him! That cub has been NOTHING but trouble for them! Always sneaking off into the Pridelands - Nne knew that Cheezi wasn’t lost and tried to return to his true home but it always ends up in trouble for them too! Like, right now, bringing this lion here and…argh!
He is going to need to talk to Janja about this.
“Whatever. I’m leavin’.”
He is already walking ahead. He wants nothing to do with that lion.
….
Cheezi …. has no idea what’s going on. Home? This isn’t home. His body starts shaking, whining again. Nne’s sour mood is certainly not helping. No, he said he will bring him home and not the spooky place! And now the lion wants to leave too? Why does everyone always leave? Why won't someone stay for once? Mom left. Then uncle and papa. Now that lion. What did he do? He never understood why his mother left like that one day. He doesn't understand why the lion wants to leave when he is not even home yet. They just met today and he put all his trust and energy in him to return him to papa. Instead he wants to leave him here?
Did he… lie to him? Other animals chased him out before. This one, he thought was nice. He did not chase him to that place. He pretended to be nice and then just…dropped him here. To leave him behind? Why? Why can’t he go to papa?
So he whines louder.
“Zai,” he says quietly while sniffing, hoping that maybe the lion would understand. That’s all he wants - papa and uncle. Is that so wrong? Why do these other animals keep him from them? It confirms his thoughts that papa did not just leave him behind. It was them who keep him from going to his family. The spooky place is not home! It never will be!!! It’s scary and frightening - it is no place for cubs to be on their own.
“Zai!!!!” He says louder, whooping, whining - maybe if he does all of that loud enough, his uncle will return.
“Zai!!! Zai!!!”
Because uncle fought off the vultures before. Uncle scared off something that was taking out the sun. Uncle could make the scary place go away! Uncle could hopefully make Nne’s sour mood go away! Uncle could scare off the lions !!
“Zai!!!” He whines.
Nne couldn’t take it anymore. Zai, Zai, Zai! That’s all he ever talks about and now … the whining was annoying. Whatever Cheezi was doing was annoying! So he stops in his tracks. It takes everything in his power not to lose it entirely as well.That cub is NOT THE ONLY ONE who lost someone during all this! You don’t see him crying about it! At least not in front of the others. It’s a lot to take in lately. He does not even know what Zai means!
“I mean it! I am leaving you behind!” Maybe he just says it and waits because he did not want to wander this place on his own as well - it is frightening for Nne too. But he hides it under his anger.
That at least did something.
Cheezi went suddenly entirely quiet, slowly walking after the masked hyena. Tail, ears and head lowered as he does so. Another glance was spared towards the lion, maybe to see if he would follow. His expression was weary. He just wants to go home. Back to his den. Away from this terrifying place with the steam vents.
He doesn’t squeal after that lion. His head turns back forward, still slumping after the larger cub. Soon, the two cubs were out of sight.
Daddy was right to keep him away from those lions back then. He should have listened.
