I guess he's not used to them talking back, but I still think they'd get along after some initial awkwardness. Especially him & Tagfer. Fibonacci is forced to listen to him yap since he can't really go anywhere...

& of course he's really awkward around Loid, but he comes around when he realizes he'll respect his boundaries. Sometimes he will hover quietly in Loids' vicinity, or hang out in the same room while completely ignoring him, kind of like a cat. It's a sign of trust.

Edgar would be horrible at it. He isn't very good with emotions. Or people in general. And he doesn't really like physical contact (unless it's with animals)
