It says it all in here - it's been a hell of a run, guys! Ups and downs galore, but I don't regret it at all. Just in case anyone wanted to feel bad today, I headcanon that as Ark grew a personality he came to genuinely care about the crew and gradually moved away from the splicing mission. Maybe he even began seriously looking for habitable planets. Then this crisis happened and he had to have his personality reset (i.e. erased) and now he's lost all that growth and is back to square 1: gotta splice em all.
There is actually a lot to Ark and the deoxys that I'm miffed we never got to show, but this is the one that hurts me most so I thought I'd be nice and share.

Just wanted to say thanks so much to every single semi-finalist, you guys all rocked and I wanted to see more of all the characters so much! I spent an age staring at the list of entries when it came time to pull out just 5. You, and all our loyal NPCs, should all be proud as hell of yourselves and your poor, poor characters.
All that's left now is to go out with a bang :D

So I do believe I've only recently heard of you, but I could be wrong, either way, I respect you a lot, mod! Your art style is so skillfully done, and you do your job as a mod very well, all of you do! From dealing with one issue to the next, I can truly say that this group you've all crafted is one I've enjoyed most. And I'm so glad it was created and that you brought your beautiful art around and let it flourish!
That means a lot to a new mod! I know I've made mistakes, so thank you for sticking with us. This community wouldn't work without people like you in it; I'm really glad you're part of Auroris! I hope we can keep this an enjoyable OCT.
On Hateful Anons
It's hard for me to express how it makes me to see perfectly nice, reasonable people in our community get hated on by cowards. It's like a bunch of strangers barging into our house party and pissing all over the furniture. I'd gladly pay some premium tumblr fee if it meant I could ban them on the spot - but I can't.
What I can do, is get (rightfully) angry at the anon hate, maybe share it with a few friends to laugh about, and then make like Elsa and let it go.
When you dwell on hate, the anon wins. When you let it fester, and eat at your confidence, the anon wins. When our community fills up with anger from the recipients and their friends, and our whole dash sours, that smug little asshole anon wins.
Everyone knows that the anon function is meant for shy people and impressively dirty TMI Tuesday asks. If it's being used to hurt you, consider turning off anon asks or noting us - we're open to trying our method of unmasking them.
YOU CAN DO IT! Home stretch guys! Slap on your favourite pump-up song, do one of those intimidating football grunty stances in the mirror, and put pen to tablet. Tonight, you'll be able to turn in what you have proudly and wash your hands of comicking for a little while - just hang in there for one more day!

(oops late squish) You have a real way with characters; I found myself attached to Kane and Monna really quickly. Your round had a good balance between the humour and solemnity too. It can be tempting to go all one or the other, so I like how you strike that balanced tone too. Looking forward to seeing how you fit Sparks into the partner dynamic you got going!

A lot of your dialogue is really funny, so I'm definitely looking forward to seeing what Xy gets himself into. I also just really love that you looked at all the possibilities of the future and space, and came out with a funeral director. I'm pretty sure we only have one of those, so I hope you're proud of that :D

After a string of sad/serious comics, it was fun to come across your r1 that made me laugh (actually laugh, not just exhale a bit harder than normal). And I'm pretty sure just from that title that your r2 is going to do the same (I'm not letting myself peek before judging though). Of course, this means it'll be even awful-er if something bad does happen. I see your evil plan to hurt me, but am powerless against it :0
On a more artisty note, your anti-anti-aliasing line style makes your stuff instantly recognizable which is pretty great, and your poses are full of energy! Especially the running ones.
