I wonder what the results of a poll for Argo would be if noting white/non-white.

I found it contrived, manipulative, insubstantial, and unfunny. Completely forgettable, especially the characters. Also, the moral seems to involve something about Canadian people being nice, doing nothing, and leeching glory from AMURRRRIKA!

Dear Ben Afflectk, add a "Loosely" onto "Based on Real Events." While you're at it, actually, add an "Extremely." Also anyone who could even think of giving Affleck an acting award should punch himself in the face (I'm looking at you, BAFTA).

I have a beautiful, wonderful friend that I know through several layers of chance (Thanks Universe!) who recently gifted me a uke.

I’m doing those basic chords and strumming patterns now, working my way through the obligatory Somewhere Over The Rainbow / Let It Be / I’m Yours. But I can not wait wait wait to jam to some AC/DC’s Highway to Hell or TNT, Journey’s Faithfully or Any Way You Want It, and for some reason in my head Countdown by Beyoncé sounds like a fantastic idea. Delusionally optimistic, yes, considering my abysmal musical skills, but isn’t that what the new year is for?

Most of all though, I'm looking forward to the first time I can visit the old folks homes and bring it along!
