I feel like you can get a more interesting read out of the Doctor and Rose being unhealthy. The whole point of Doomsday is that they're so horrifically sewn together that it literally requires an apocalypse, a billion daleks, a billion cybermen, a different universe, and Hell itself to finally separate them. Otherwise yeah they would have self destructed. The tenth doctors entire identity is owed to Rose. The first time he kissed Rose he straight up DIED. The Moment takes her form when the Doctor is about to commit a double genocide. That is abnormal

i know this conversation has been had to death and back, but i just don’t understand how people think nine and rose were anything less than romantically attracted to each other.

their first date was chips after he showed her the end of the world. as much as i hate moffat’s weird needlessly over sexualized writing, they still spent the entirety of their time in the middle of war-torn london on the brink of being bombed by nazi’s discussing their sexual desires. she literally turned herself into an omnipotent, omnipresent goddess and committed genocide just to ensure the doctor’s safety. HE KISSED HER. ON THE MOUTH. JUST BECAUSE HE WANTED TO. BECAUSE HE COULD.

“she only fell in love with him after he regenerated cause he was younger and more attractive” WRONG. she didn’t even like ten when he first appeared. she begged for nine to come back. her attraction to the doctor as ten didn’t come to fruition until he woke up and she saw him size up and fight the sycorax because that’s when she realized he really was still the doctor, even if he did have a different body. it was never about what he looked like to rose, she only loved him for who he is.

My favourite thing about the Bad Wolf storyline is that the creation of Bad Wolf itself wasn’t even the biggest proof of love from Rose in that moment and that says a lot because looking into the Heart of the TARDIS isn’t nothing.

But the biggest proof (in that moment) that Rose loved the Doctor was this:

She saw everything.

The worst he ever had been, the worst he ever could become.

She saw the timeline were he left her in Pete’s world. (since she named it Bad Wolf after Bad Wolf bay. )

(Which makes me think that she might have had to hand pick that timeline in order to save him)

She saw him break her heart, she saw him kill, die and hate everything and everyone because he couldn’t face hating himself.

She saw all of him. (The very thing he thought would make her leave him)

And yet she still came back to save him.

Those who think ‘Timey-Wimey’ is a Ten thing

Those who know it’s something Rose said to Nine when it was said for the first time.

When he says it, he’s missing her.

Nine straight out of the Time War, traumatized and suicidal, watching Rose flirt with everyone around her including him, watching Rose love her mother so messily, endearingly and true, watching Rose destroy reality to try to save the father she hardly knew out of love for the absence he left behind, watching Rose love a dalek and that dalek loving her to the point of letting itself die in the sunlight, watching Rose love him, Nine, with complete trust and belief in him despite the Time War’s ashes coating his hands, Nine watching her love absolutely completely selfishly and thinking yeah I could make a religion out of this
