Went as the salty Ness and bought some really nice contacts (never worn them before...EVER) at a convention last month and I was approached by two little kids

Kid 1: Hey are you Ness from EarthBound? Kid 2: No, he’s from Smash Bros you idiot! Me internally: At least I wasn’t called Sans

I did meet a really nice and energetic Lucas cosplayer so that was cool!

I cannot stress this enough. This is for ANY of my AUs for that matter. I don’t take these as compliments. They actually hurt me and makes me think I’m downright copying someone. I get so many asks saying “oh wow, this character is so much like this character, did you copy??.” It’s not cool, if you would like a crossover thats great and I would love to do that but please don’t compare mine or any other persons AUs to each other. Each universe is magical and complex in their own special way.
