So watched the new DMC anime, I love it, I enjoyed it a lot, but here some detail thoughts.
Expansion of the demon realm including Sparda's actions having consequences effecting his ppl which including themes of immigration, stereotypes fabricated by powerful oppressors (DARKCOM) and how it's setting up a much higher tension between the twins in regards of them being hybrids.
What's planned for Vergil including already being Nelo Angelo yet is willingly(?) serving Mundus mayhap due to being captured and manipulated (ironic cause i know there is aus and fics like this) and it's definitely gonna have some Trigun esque to it where Vash and Knives side with one part of their species over the other thus gonna make how the twins gonna butt heads and increasing the angst!!!
Episode 6, a masterpiece and using different art directions to depict Lady and the White Rabbit's story is just chefs kiss give me more, I want more of that.
Dante's DT design, I wanna ride him.
Vergil's design, I wanna ride him.
Making "Devil's Never Cry" the ending credits.
Certain music choices that correlated well with the story, some felt like it shouldn't have been in this season.
Sparda getting shittalk cause that deadbeat deserves it.
The baby twins, I wanna protect them but also damn they're lil shits bless Eva for having to raise those hellions.
Dante getting half his face blown off cause I love seeing the sparda twins injured teehee. uwu
The DDR scene, super dorky of Dante.
Nods to other Capcom games like RE, Megaman, Street Fighter.
There a lot more, but don't got it on top of my head.
Things that I'm not a big fan of or need improvement.
Not enough Dante, but I appreciate them giving us more development on secondary characters.
Certain scenes either should have not been a thing at all like Plasma Vergil or should have been place differently in later episodes or future seasons.
Highs and lows on the pacing; sometimes it hella fast and other times it slow or pace weirdly.
Dante should have his full on DT in the later seasons, this was a bit too early, but I get why they set it up this way.
Some animations are a bit janky, mainly the CGI parts, but I know that has to do with budget, time and Netflix being Netflix.
All in all, I enjoyed it, there some room for improvement and I'm confident the team will take onto account of criticisms in order to make future seasons top notch.
