I'm honestly - i have seen so many people say that gorgug was in the wrong during sophomore year for not contacting zelda more or finding a way to contact her.

here's the thing:

1) this is his first quest away from Elmville. Zelda is in her 3rd or 4th. she is also going to the Red Wastes. So she gets to leave as much as she wants but Gorgug must be available to speak to her 24/7?? i get having relationship anxiety but that seems hella unfair on gorgug imo. ALSO!!!!

"but gorgug is away all the time for the band!!" never outside of solace, where their arcanotech would not work.

2) gorgug is on a quest that is supposed to be mAYBE 2 to 3 weeks long, however long spring break lasts for aguefort. the bad kids, honestly, should have been given at least a fucking month for this mission. he won't be gone for that fuckin long that she should freak out over it.

3) this mission the bad kids are on is ostensibly just insanely fucking batshit to send a bunch of 6th or 7th level fucking sophomore kids on. The Nightmare King - aguefort fucking knows how dangerous the nightmare king is and still leaves this extremely dangerous fucking quest to a bunch of k i d s. AND PUT A RIDICULOUS TIME CONSTRAINT ON IT AT THAT. gorgug is in near fucking constant life-or-death situations. often MULTIPLE TIMES A DAY! im sorry if he hasnt had the time to figure out how to build a cell tower to text you, zelda.
