Mine was the fact I was in a dance class growing up and allllll the girls changed in the same room and the gay ass feelings arrived

And then after that I just stopped giving a fuck I had a crush on no matter gender

Now I joke about Mary Poppins (from the sequel) being my lesbian awakening because it def helped

But my gay awakening was in the 4th grade when a friend of mine, who was a girl at the time, held my hand. Now I was under the impression that I absolutely had to like boys no matter what and that was like my only job on this earth. But her hands were so soft and she was so pretty and funny and she made me feel fuzzy inside in a way Ive never felt around a boy. Next thing you know, I liked girls. And I didnt have to live with this guilt or overwhelming responsibility of forcing myself to have a crush on a boy.

My bi awakening is the DUMBEST thing ever I was already questioning my sexuality by the beginning of eighth grade. There wasn't really any reason for me to be questioning other than the fact I knew being queer was a possibility. I was sitting in the classroom on the first day of eighth grade thinking about this when I thought "I'm probably just straight and overthinking, but wouldn't it be funny if I just formed a massive crush on the first girl to walk through that door?" You will never guess what happened next.
