If you’re doing tubs, this is a great reference! Just cause they may be covered by a lid a lot does NOT mean that you shouldn’t have hides and other stuff. The more space the better, never think in minimums

If a breeder/seller tells you that a snake with the spider gene has no wobble, they’re lying. All spiders are affected by the neurological condition that presents as a wobble.

If a breeder/seller tells you that a snake with the spider gene doesn’t have “that bad of a wobble,” they’re still lying. Wobbles often worsen with age, and there is no way to know how much distress and/or pain a snake is in from observation alone.

So! For those of you with male beardies, you may have noticed they have become antsy, anxious, and full of energy no matter how long you take them out of the cage for. Well, it is breeding season! The males are looking for a mate, which is why they will randomly try to climb walls and go places they otherwise never try to go. They can also in very rare cases, become a little defensive and grumpy. To alleviate this, once a week or so I let Sparx get out his extra ‘mating’ energy on a small stuffed animal until the season has passed. I have noticed when I let him do this he eats more of his veggies, is more active and generally less anxious/stressed.
