rewatched early s1 today and the absolute vitriol and hate he has for telepathy made this hit so much harder. he trusted her so much and he loved her enough to believe she was safe and she betrayed him knowing how much trauma he has around telepathic manipulation. he let her in and she was so scared to lose him that she made it worse. insane.
